Angelina Jolie to Voice Maleficent in Kingdom Hearts 3?

Are we finally going to see Angelina Jolie voice her Disney character Maleficent on the much anticipated game Kingdom Hearts 3? It certainly brings hype to everyone every time a high-profile actress such as Angelina Jolie will be part of your favorite video game.

With all the attention it has been receiving as of late, movie fans are wondering if Angelina Jolie’s version of Maleficent will come out in Kingdom Hearts 3.

A fan asked the creative director of Kingdom Hearts 3 if Jolie would also appear in the game. The director’s reply was “I’m not saying anything but you’re in for a surprise.” Well, what do you say of that? Are we finally going to see the high-profile actress voice her character in the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3?

These are just rumors at the time being, but it will be no surprise if this pushes through. Jolie has the knack of portraying video game characters. In the past, she already played the main character of the iconic video game Tomb Raider, Lara Croft. She also played the character in the two movie adaptations of the game Tomb Raider and Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life which were released in 2001 and 2003, respectively.

She has this to say about her portrayal of Lara Croft: “I only eventually played the role because it’s about a very strong woman.” She also said that she really likes what the character represents as a woman. “When I agreed to player her, I didn’t realize how much of an icon she was,” she added.

In the meantime, all we can do is speculate and hope that this will push through.

Disney’s Maleficent without a doubt has impressed a lot of its critics and viewers. As of June 22, the movie hit has already passed the $500 million sales mark and is still expected to rocket up the following weeks.

Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released in both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There has not yet been any word from the Japanese game developer on its launch date.
