The Bitbag is the video game and technology hub of cyberspace. Launched in January of 2007 and growing stronger by the day, The Bitbag continues to inform the masses with news, reviews, editorials, videos and podcasts.

Torrence Davis – Editor In Chief

versellios70

Torrence Davis was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He’s been an avid gamer since before the existence of Pong. He took his love for the game to new heights in 1995 when he created Video Game Time magazine and then shortly after, vgt.com. In 2004 he killed off vgt.com to work on independent films while in San Diego. After a short 2 year stint he began work on The Bitbag and combined his love for video games and technology into one site.

Jon Sitzman – Games Editor

Though having the good fortune to be born in Gainesville, Florida circa 1970, Jon was forcibly relocated to a concentration camp for non-rednecks in Hixson, TN at the tender age of 12. He managed to escape before the end of his high-school years – though only just – and eventually went incognito in Twangtown while studying for his degree in English literature from Middle TN State. Jon fully intends to return to school and complete that degree – at some point. To keep the bills paid, he’s worked a collection of odd jobs ranging from men’s clothing to insurance claims – currently he has a gig at a cell phone service provider (and just got a nice promotion). In his off hours, he wastes sociopathic amounts of time watching action movies (with a particular fondness for Stephen Chow), playing niche-oriented mech combat games (and posting about them on message boards), and caring for his 4 pets (2 cats, 2 dogs). After forcing Torrence to let him onto the Bit Bag staff at gunpoint, he was shocked to learn he could write his own bio.

Matt Jenkins – Games Editor

Christopher Browning – Technology Editor

There are many speculations to the true identity of “Chris.” Some say he is an ancient elder god, summoned from the depths of hell to reign horror supreme upon all humanity. Others believe he’s an information systems technician for a large corporation in San Diego. Either way, he enjoys blogging, photography, and breakfast burritos. Chris is also one of the increasingly rare breeds who prefer the charm of older games as opposed to next-gen gaming frenzy. Armed with his trusty Macbook, he is a force to be reckoned with!
