The 44th Annie Awards is happening on February 4, 2017 at the UCLA’s Royce Hall in Los Angeles, California. On their official website, nominees for the different award categories have been posted. Here are the nominees for the Best Animated Feature. Who among these would you like to win?

Here are the nominees for Best Animated Feature:

  • Finding Dory – Pixar Animation Studios: Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) is a blue tang fish who suffers from memory loss every 10 seconds. In this movie, she is out on a quest to find her parents. Dory soon finds out that they are in captivity in the Marine Life Institute. Can she save Mom and Dad?
  • Kubo and the Two Strings – LAIKA: Kubo (Art Parkinson) is a young boy who accidentally summons a vengeful spirit from his past. Kubo then must battle the Moon King and the other gods to save his family and to solve the mystery of his fallen father.
  • Kung Fu Panda 3 – DreamWorks Animation: Po (Jack Black) is given another challenge by his beloved instructor. He now needs to train a group of clumsy pandas and help them become fighters. In this story, a new villain, Kai, appears and Po and the kung-fu brethren must unite to defeat him.
  • Moana – Walt Disney Animation Studios: Moana sails out on a daring adventure to save her people. Along the way she encounters a once-mighty demigod named, Maui. Together they battle monsters and in their journey she discovers her own identity.  
  • Zootopia – Walt Disney Animation Studios: The city of Zootopia is a mammal metropolis where various animal co exist. It is the first day of Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) in the police force. She learns how hard it is to enforce the law. Vowing to prove herself, she grabs an opportunity to solve a mystery case with a wily fox, Nick Wilde, as her partner.

Fans predict that Finding Dory will bag the 44th Annie Awards for Best Animated Feature being that it had been successful all over the globe.

It also has a wider fanbase since Finding Dory is the sequel of the hit animated movie, Finding Nemo.

However, in terms of quality and art, artists are hoping Kubo and the Two Strings will win.
