It was not too long ago that Capcom set the gaming world on fire by announcing that they were bringing back DuckTales. The company announced that DuckTales Remastered was in development for the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, as well as Steam platforms.
The expectation was that this would end up releasing in the fall of 2013, but that is not the case at all as the game is actually coming out sooner.
DuckTales Remastered will release on the Nintendo Wii U, Sony PS3, as well as Steam on August 13, 2013.
The Xbox 360 version of the game is going to be coming a bit later, launching on September 11, 2013 due to the fact that Microsoft has the Summer of Xbox Live event clogging things up in the month of August.
For those Sony PS3 owners out there, it is also confirmed that there is going to be a special boxed version of the game sold for that console.
The boxed version is going to come with a digital code of the game, as well as a collector’s pin of DuckTales from Disney. The boxed edition, which will be PS3 only, will be releassed on August 20, 2013 for $19.99 at participating retailers.
No matter which version you choose, DuckTales is going to be making a splash very shortly.
