Dragon Age 3: Inquisition will have castles, deep customization, large levels

New details have emerged regarding Dragon Age 3: Inquisition from the Bioware panel at the Edmonton Comic and Entertainment Expo.

Cinematic designer John Perry said that “one level in Dragon Age 3 is as big as all of the levels in Dragon Age 2.”

While creative director Mike Laidlaw said customization “customization is going to be bigger than Dragon Age Origins,” and followers will also be customizable.

Players will have access to their own castle and will be able to import choices made from previous games. The team is trying to do this without relying on “save imports” said executive producer Mark Darrah.

Players will be human and “backgrounds will be in Dragon Age 3 even though you will be human, it’s not playable but it does significant impact on the story,” said lead writer David Gaider.

Everybody’s favourite witch, Flemeth will also be in DA3 in some form. “It feels wrong to not have a little Flemeth in your game.” said Laidlaw.
