NBA 2K13 Review

NBA 2K started about 13 years ago with the first game being released in about 1999. Worldwide the number 13 is considered to be an unlucky number with many being superstitious.  Even within the NBA the number some have retired the number 13 shirt. With the likes of basketball there is a little competition within this area so will NBA2K13 be all that its cracked up to be? So far we are happy with the game and it’s by far the best basketball game out there, do you agree?

Let’s talk game play:

One thing i noticed when the game loaded up that was that it was produced by Jay Z. First off i thought well i didn’t know that second i thought about how stupid it was that a rapper was getting involved in a game, reminds me of 50cent getting involved in water. I guess there is a catch 22 because they end up making a whole lot of money and bloggers start hyping about the rappers name. Either way i thought it was a little annoying.

All in all what annoyed me about Jayz was that he appears as a executive producer, seriously? an executive producer on a video game? come on get real the guy is a rapper and not a good one at that.

The move to bring Jay Z on board is nothing but a marketing stunt, you can hear it as his music pumps in the background. argh.

Apart from that the game is great, i’m enjoying it and it’s great to see they have built a good name for themselves. The game play is fast which is a big thing for me and i enjoy the fact i can play a little more tactically without having a delay.

What i enjoy the most is the career mode, you can play your own created character or play as someone. You start out by being a rookie and working your way up through different inter view processes with teams that are interested in signing you. After all that you begin getting drafted into a team and you play through the rest of your career.

The career mode allows you to develop your character quite well and it’s an improvement on the My player mode from previous versions.

The best part about the career mode is by far the creating of a shoe. I’m a shoe guy and i have a big collection so being able to create a set of kicks really got me going.

Best NBA game out on the market in my point of view and i’m sure you will enjoy playing it
