Angry Birds Star Wars to launch on November 8th in a galaxy far far away

Rovio has revealed the latest instalment in their Angry Birds series with Angry Birds Star Wars, launching on November 8th for iOS, Android and Windows 8 PCs according to USA Today.

Rovio has released a promotional video that can be seen below, as well this promotional image.

Paul Southern, vice president of licensing and consumer products marketing for Lucasfilm said the birds are not just “Angry Birds dressed up as Star Wars characters” but “are characters in their own right.”

“They’ve got personalities which are kind of similar,” he said.

The game will feature physics taken from Angry Birds Space and will have popular Star Wars locations as its setting.
