Bioware plans to develop another Mass Effect game, brand new IP

In light of the retirement of Bioware’s two founders, Bioware Edmonton and Montreal GM Aaryn Flynn has highlighted some of the projects they have planned for the future.

First, he noted yesterday’s reveal of Dragon Age 3: Inquisition which executive producer Mark Darrah is in charge of.

There will also be new multiplayer content for Mass Effect 3 as well as a new single-player DLC called Omega releasing this fall. Executive producer Casey Hudson and his team are also already planning for a totally new game in the Mass Effect universe.

“Our teams have plans for another full game. “Where to go next?” with such a project has been a question a lot of us have been asking, and we’d all love to hear your ideas.” said Flynn.

There will also be a brand new game set in a new universe that is currently being thought up by Hudson and his team. “While Casey continues to oversee the development of our new Mass Effect project, he and his leads are putting together their vision for an all new game set in a fictional universe, built from the bottom-up with all new gaming technology.” said Flynn.
