Wii U Price and Release Date Announced for North America

Following the price announcement for the Wii U in Japan earlier, Nintendo has just announced the release date and launch price for the Wii U in North America.

The “Premium” Wii U will cost $349 with the following contents:

• 32GB of internal flash storage memory
• Wii U GamePad
• Sensor Bar
• Charging Stand for GamePad
• Console Stand
• Nintendo Game Land Blu-Ray optical disc
• 2 Years subscription to Nintendo Network Premium
• HDMI Cable
• Glossy Black finish

The cheaper “Standard/Regular” Wii U on the other hand will be priced at $299 with the following contents:

• 8GB of internal flash storage memory
• Wii U GamePad
• Sensor Bar
• HDMI Cable
• Ceramic White finish
