Xbox 720 tech patent reveals plans to turn rooms into game environments

It has been discovered that Microsoft has patented new technology called “environmental display” that will turn your room into a game world.

The patent which is reportedly linked to the Kinect 3D glasses codenamed Fortaleza that was reported back in June.

It works by projecting a 3D environment all over the room and a camera will track the movement of the player which is similar to the current Kinect but this newer tech will be able to calculate player movement even more accurately.

The tech suggests a player can see all of his surroundings as well as interact with them regardless of what’s showing on their main screen.
