Video game composer Tim Wright offers all his music at 80% off

Video game composer Tim Wright aka CoLD SToRAGE, has announced he is offering all of his music at 80% off until the end of August 2012. He has worked on games such as Wipeout, Lemmings, Gravity Crash and many, many more.

The offer is to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of the first commercial compact disc (CD) in Germany in 1982.

Wright says,

“I just found out that on this very day back in 1982, eager shoppers in Germany had their very first digital music experience… I can’t imagine what that was like – to be in the shop queuing up, and then hearing music with probably a lot more depth and clarity than your average person would have had access to back then. It must have been mind blowing…

These days we take digital music far too much for granted. I still have my vinyl collection and a box-full of cassette tapes that get an airing once in a while, but without digital music distribution, a lot of budding and talented amateur musicians wouldn’t have an audience today.”
