Planetary Annihilation is an RTS by Uber and they need your help

Uber Entertainment, developers of Super Monday Night Combat is developing an RTS called Planetary Annihilation and have placed it on Kickstarter to help fund it.

Planetary Annihilation is a “Total Annihilation-inspired RTS on a planetary scale.” The goal on their Kickstarter is $900,000 and they still have 29 days left to go. Donations can also be made directly at the game’s official website.

The game will allow players to wage galactic war and extract resources of solar systems. Players can choose to wage war against one friend on a single planet map or partake in a larger one where there are thousands of units and up to 40 players in total. There will also be AIs to practise against alone or with a friend. The game will employ a client-server model that will do most of the work so that players with lower-spec machines won’t bring down the performance of multiplayer.

The game will also feature a procedural planet creator tool for players to create custom or randomized maps and share them with the community.
