As was teased yesterday, Naughty Dog has brought their biggest, most cumulative patch to date for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, most specifically for their multiplayer mode. Patch 1.13 brings along a host of new DLC content and features, gameplay tweaks and even a new “Tournament System”. You really don’t have a reason not to at least give Uncharted 3′s multiplayer mode a try now.
The new Tournament System will allow players to par-take in tournament matches using the given tickets (10 per Tournament Round). The Tournament System is points and tier based, how well you play and much you earn over a match determines the rewards you will receive. These rewards can be in-game weapons, items like head-gears, chest armors, leggings and so on.
There will also be a Tournament Leaderboard to keep all those e-peen bragging rights yours.
New character items, 137 of them
When Uncharted 3 first released, we were given the options to customize our favourite skins with the provided rather sparse in-game items. To remedy that, Naughty Dog has also revealed for Patch 1.13 there will be 137 new pieces of character items, each uniquely created to deck out your character skin the way you simply want it.
The new items aren’t just for making you look as fancy or as foolish as one can be, many will actually bring along stat changes to your character. Players can unlock the items by completing specific treasure sets, leveling up to the necessary in-game levels, or could choose to buy them right away through the PlayStation Store.
Block Mesh Maps & New Trophies
The Lab will also a form of a new unique content where the developers plan to introduce block mesh maps into the mode. They are basically maps which are made of blocks, colored simply with nothing more than 2 or 3 color tone. There will be no textures or eye-piercing lightings, it’s simply the “green room” of Uncharted 3.
For the Trophy addicts who were dissapointed with the lack of multiplayer trophies in Uncharted 3, fret not as there will be 50 new trophies for you to hawk your time on. They will however only be available to the released DLC packs and you must own them before being able to unlock the new trophy sets.

Make sure to check out the Naughty Dog blog for the full list of new features and gameplay tweaks. As for those still pondering whether they should come back to Uncharted 3 or not, I think this patch has all your answers. Patch 1.13 is available now and although is the biggest patch yet for the game, Naughty Dog has intends to keep supporting and updating the mode for as long as people are playing it.
