DayZ, the ArmA 2 mod that has taken the gaming industry by storm is now officially a standalone project for the PC.
Creator Dean Hall who will remain as the lead developer says that the development and updates for the mod will be developed parallel with the game allowing current players to continue playing.
The game will follow the Minecraft development model, with “fast iterations” and a community alpha available at a heavily discounted price. The game will be getting its own website and the mod will continue at its present link.
