Sony announces PlayStation Collections

There isn’t a much better start to a morning with an anouncement of a collection of the best PlayStation 3 titles in one incredible value.

Sony has confirmed and revealed the God of War Saga, which comprises of all 5 God of War titles in one single pack for a mouth-watering $39.99. The God of War Saga collection will come in 2 discs, God of War HD Collection and God of War 3. The Origins Collection will be available via PSN download vouchers.

Adding to that, there will also be a 1 month trial voucher for PlayStation Plus and also a rather vague “exclusive bonus content”. What that content is we don’t really know, but our guess is it could be a demo for God of War Ascension — at least we hope.

The second pack in the PlayStation Collections will come in the form of the electrifying inFamous duology. It will be packing in the first 2 inFamous games as well as the DLC, inFamous: Festival of Blood. All previously released DLC including the ones from the Hero edition of inFamous 2 will also be included.

As a bonus, there will be “extra missions” in the pack too. Both inFamous 1 and 2 will come in the form of a disc, where as Festival of Blood will be a PSN download voucher. Just like the God of War Saga, the inFamous Collection will be priced at $39.99.

As for the gamers who don’t fancy hard-copies — what’s wrong with you?! — all of these titles will also be available on the PSN store along with all the bonus contents that has been revealed individually. The release date for these awesome collections is set on August 28th, so mark your calendars and get ready to spend — if you haven’t already, previously.

One last thing, Sony has also teased that more Collections like these will be announced in the future too. We can already smell that an Uncharted Triology Collection is just lurking behind the corner somewhere…
