Bethesda has announced at QuakeCon that the PC version of Skyrim’s Dawnguard DLC will be arriving today.
It is available on Steam for $19.99 in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish. Skyrim is also included in a huge QuakeCon bundle or can be bought on its own at $29.99 which is 50% off.
However, PS3 owners would have to wait longer for the Dawnguard DLC to show up on the PlayStation Network. Bethesda expressed their disappointment in an update on their blog, “We are not satisfied yet with Dawnguard’s performance on the PS3. We would like for everyone to have a chance to play Dawnguard, but we aren’t going to release it for PS3 knowing that some people’s experience in Skyrim will be worse.” No schedule for release was included in the blog post.

They once again showed that they are not just developers but excellent marketing managers. By having us suspended on seesaw Hines throwed at us on his Twitter “we haven’t said anything about Dawnguard DLC for PC/PS3″ they created probably huge stress on Steam systems when they have released it in public. And there was much rejoice! Except for PS3 users that will have to wait bit more, but with HUGE relief that DLC IS coming to PS3 as well… So, engine is VERY little updated since FO:New Vegas but everything else worked flawlessly to bring one technically mediocre product that high. Im not sure whether I should congratulate them or cry that marketing can sell pretty much everything assumed it was packed in nice wrapping…
