A recent study made by Nielsen shows that there are a lot of people waiting for the next instalment of Activision’s highly successful Call of Duty franchise.
The blockbuster title tops 2012′s Most Anticipated list for the PS3 while ranked second for Xbox 360 behind Halo 4. It also holds the highest spot on GameStop’s Most Anticipated list for console games.
Battlefield 4 is another huge title coming out from EA that is expected to release in 2013. The company, having a similar battle with Activision last year is obviously looking to get a slice in sales from the Call of Duty series.
The question is whether they could after Modern Warfare 3 easily outsold them in terms of copies sold on launch day where they amazingly passed out 6.5 million units making it the biggest entertainment launch of all time.

Dude, why are you writing this article? Battlefield 4 has VERY SLIM details, and it isn’t even being released this year, so of course the game with most of it’s details already spilled is going to be the most anticipated. Battlefield is the better series however, Battlefiled out-does COD in every way that you could imagine.
I guess this article title is misleading, Treyarch and Infinity Ward used the 12 year old engine since Quake 3. Fail CoD games same graphics every year gets annoying. I prefer BF4 (Next Top Generation Video Games of 2014) Black Ops 2 (I.W.3.0) We’re not in 2008 anymore.
This is dumb… u dont even know if it will be realased in 2013 all we no is the beta is in fall.. so chill the fuck out.. no one wants to play fail same graphic cod games.. get to the real news
Battlefield 3 sucked in my opinion. The console graphics are absolute shit and the hit detection is terrible. You shoot a clip into a guy, yet he blasts you once with a DAD-12 frag shell and you die. I won’t buy another BF game. MW3 was fun for a bit, and then I realized that it was basically the same as MW2, so it got boring quickly. Black Ops 2, on the other hand, looks like it’s taking the series in the right direction. If the graphics were up-scaled from the existing engine, current-generation consoles probably wouldn’t be able to handle them. They won’t do too much with the multiplayer either, since the current system has made the series so famous. What has grabbed my attention are the zombies and campaign, both look/sound amazing this year. Treyarch always makes the better game.
It is because the 360 and all consoles are complete garbage
Graphics DO NOT MATTER,i repeat GRAPHICS DONT MATTER,u should be worrying about if the game as a whole is good, not the graphics
the graphics are p art of the game arent they dumbass? I’ll let you play your favorite game in back in white, with grain, @ 320×240 on a 5 inch monitor & you can tell me why its stupid that everyone want better resolution & graphics.
Well we don’t know much about Battlefield 4 and i have to say i’m really looking forward to getting Black Ops 2 for Christmas this year after seeing gameplay. Battlefield 3 is awesome though and I’m sure EA will have done a terrific job on Battlefield 4 for 2013 when it would probably be up against Activision’s Modern Warfare 4
