Skyrim’s Dawnguard not announced for PS3, PC – Bethesda

Skyrim’s Dawnguard not announced for PS3, PC – Bethesda

The Elder Scrolls V: Dawnguard

Reports are flying in like the dragons in Skyrim claiming that the highly sought after DLC is coming to platforms other than Xbox 360, well it seems the VP of PR and Marketing at Bethesda had something to say in his Twitter account about it.

Pete Hines tweeted today that Bethesda has never announced Dawnguard “for any other platform, nor given a timeline for any such news” while adding that “sometimes it’s better to say nothing until you can provide solid info than say something before you can.”

Dawnguard was officially released for Xbox 360 on June 26, and as was the case with past downloadable content from Bethesda, gamers should have been expecting at least a month delay before they could see release on other platforms such as PS3 and PC.

Pete Hines’ controversial tweet.

Around the same time of the tweet, Hines followed up with a reply on his Twitter account to say that he was not saying that the DLC would never come to other machines, just that there would be no such news to be informed as of today.

Well, Hines probably had an off-day at work and was trying to play with the fans who are eager to get their hands on the recently released DLC. If you look at some of the replies to Hines’ tweet, it’s obvious that he did, whether intentional or not, manage to cause a little chaos among the faithful legion of Skyrim supporters.

This is bullshit. Bethesda, when you say something you gotta mean it. You guys aren’t even taking this seriously. Your all lazy fat asses and you gotta get to work if you want to keep your fans. Your promises are always delayed and you still leave us with bugs. This is the actual game right? Cause it feels like a damn prototype. We payed $60 for a game, not a glitched out piece of shit. And you’re already working on another update and DLC when the first one hasn’t even been out to all platforms yet. You guys are so unprofessional. It’s like Bethesda gathered up a group of pot heads and put some dumb shit together and called it a DLC. $20!? Not even worth it. $10 should match this poorly, under worked, dung dropped, ‘DLC’. Never seen some much bugs and mistakes in my life. Fucking infinity ward could make a better RPG. (Not really). And fuck this buyout. It just shows that Microsoft is so desperate for more penises up in their mouths. Hope you guys become bankrupt and your nipples fall down to your saggy un used ball sacks.

Maybe sometimes it’s better to say nothing until you can provide solid info than say something before you can. Guess what? This, is really not one of those times. This complete lack of communication right up until the day we thought it might be coming out is just terrible customer service. Xbox users got to know on June 6th that it was coming out on June 26th for them. Your agreement with Microsoft was only for a 30 day delay. How is 60 days not enough to even be able to say “soon” or give any information at all? We paid full price for your game, you know.

  3. If they can’t even be bothered to say when they expect to have it out by or even confirm that its coming out at all, then i’ll give it a miss and buy something else from a different developer with the money I would have spent on it. I hope Microsoft paid them a small fortune for their 30 day exclusive, because I have a feeling Bethesda’s gonna lose more in sales than they gained from this as people lose interest and move on to other things. Maybe if they miss their sales quota by a landslide they’ll remember it next time

Read my name. Bethesda made me trade back their game for this.

  5. Microsoft made a deal with Bethesda to get Dawnguard 30 days before, to make new customers. To be honest, I don’t see why anyone would want to trade with Microsoft, they’re just backstabbing jerks. Hope they become bankrupt and put out of buisness for good!

Bethesda crews, Pete Hines. If you read this, please move your hairy asses and get Dawnguard released on PC. I can’t wait much longer because I have a werewolf ready to kick some vampires’s butts and yet you’re saying: “We have not announced Dawnguard for other platform” my ass!!
