Since the trailer debut last year, we haven’t heard much about the bound-to-be blockbuster title. Today, Rockstar has given their fans some clues of what’s going on behind-the-scenes of Grand Theft Auto V.
“What is going on with GTA 5?” asked Social Club member Mouthoff to Rockstar representatives on its Newswire website. During the latest issue of it’s ‘Asked and Answered’ blog, Rockstar gave their response:
“We are very busy working on the game! Everything is going well, but the game is a huge project. We should have more information and some new assets for you soon.”
Mouthoff then asked “Why don’t you give us more news?”. To which Rockstar reiterated:
“As we have said before, we have often had long gaps between asset releases on previous games and will continue to do so in the future. We are sorry if you find this frustrating, but please understand, we don’t do this because we ‘don’t care about our fans’ ‘don’t respect our fans’ ‘hate GTA fans etc’ – precisely the opposite!”
“We do it because we want to make sure we only release 100 per cent correct information, and because we want to keep plenty back for the actual game release so there are still lots of surprises when you play it.”
“The only things we care about are that you enjoy the experience of actually playing the game and that we release accurate information. We just have not been in a position to show more of the game than the trailer and will not be for a while yet.”
“We did, however, manage to sneak a quick screenshot out for you…it’s not much, but we thought it was pretty fun.”
GTA V to hit the shelves for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Is there going to be things such as garages were you can mod your car example body kits paint jobs rims etc, able to fly planes, by$ houses , pubs clubs were you can get drunk when ever, make girlfriends and cars drive abit faster on highway , and while driving it tells you what speed your going…. for gta v
Hopefully the graphics arnt like the sims or saints row cause there crap, hopefully there like gta iv and is there gyms ?
Its just two screens, but it pumps me up so much, cant wait for more screens and a new trailer. And I believe the game is defintaly not coming out this year because of this line from Rockstar…”We just have not been in a position to show more of the game than the trailer and will not be for a while yet” They wont be for a while yet??? Hmmm, ya its not coming out until early 2013 I believe.
but you have to look at their track record, all of their GTA games have came out during the fall, so my best bet is that it will come out sometime soon. Dont wanna focuse all the attention away from Max Payne 3. But be patient, waiting for a game is like waiting for girl. if she is easy and quick to get you wont enjoy her for that long, but when you find that girl that you have no choice but to wait for; when you do get her, you will be glad that you waited because you’ll realize that she was well worth the wait.
Out of curiosity , are u a girl Kiki? Cause I liked ur analogy there about girls and video games lol.
GTA IV came out in March, Red Dead Redemption came out in May, L.A. Noire came out in May, and Max Payne 3 came out in May. I’m kind of seeing a pattern here that doesn’t really align with fall releases.

They are mouth shut, because they don’t want to loose money on Max Payne. That’s all. That’s the truth. They can’t say it, so they invent these excuses, but one thing is true. They love the fans.
This is exactly right, its simple economics, really. They have to generate as much revenue as possible from Max Payne 3 by keeping attention focused on Max Payne and away from Grand Theft Auto. That being said, their plan is backfiring right now, people are more focused on these two screenshots than anything on Max Payne 3.

Your headline say that rockstar have said gta 5 is out soon, but when u read the quotes theyhavent said that at all?!! More info n assets soon thats it
I look at it as the screenshots are not much but at least it’s something.
But I can’t wait and hopefully its better than all gta’s , what would ne good. Would be you cam steel a cop car amd pull people over and cops cam pull you I’ve amd give you fines and also if the cars let you use the blinker to turn I wish gta iv had them , and mod cars like sanandreas

Christ, people are so damn impatient. It’s coming out soon, we’re just going to have to wait.
San Andreas with GTA4 (orbetter) graphics! That is all i ask for
I have som ideas: 1: More islands to fly/ boat to. 2: Jail- You’re in jail for 25 mins or you can try to escape. 3: A cruise ship with activities and many other things to do, boats across the map. 4: New multiplayer game modes: Capture the flag Wingman Manhunt 5: Fishing!!
I have some more ideas: 1: Malls, with shops and food courts. 2: More throwable objects: Knifes Shurikens Bricks Food 3: More grenades: Tear gas grenade – Blinds target and causes small damage. Smoke Grenade – Makes a smoke cloud and puts permanent white on screen Fire Grenade – A regular grenade that shoots out firework-like projectiles 4: Wild animals running around the city: Cats Dogs Horses Boars 5: U.P.S Trucks 6: Jobs Hope these are nice ideas
