New PlayStation 3 model might be coming according to FCC filing

A new filing found in the FCC database points to a new model for the PlayStation 3. Most of the information is confidential but a diagram – which can be seen above – shows the shape might differ from the current PS3 Slim.

Not much details are available as of now and with just the diagram, it is hard to determine the actual hardware shape and size of the new model. The model mentioned in the filing is the CECH-4001x and Eurogamer has reported that it will be a slimmer version and will be unveiled at Gamescom.
