Reports has run rampant all over the Internet after Sony officially released the new firmware update just last week.
The main consensus that a lot of them are having is the fact whether there will be a new model for PlayStation 3 or just to be ready for the next generation of consoles.
Playfront.de has an excerpt that might interest Sony’s consumers out there:
An interesting point here is, for example, that one option has been renamed several points, such as the ‘Eject Disc’ to, now called the ‘remove disc’. This detail describes actually two different processes, the way how to remove a disc. The word ‘take out’ sounds like it more after a manual process that one must carry themselves, such as in the last hardware revision of the PlayStation 2 Why Sony should change the name of an otherwise rather insignificant detail?
So, what do yo think? Will there be a new slimmer PS3 model in a midst of next-gen era and difficult financial situation for Sony?
