Bioware reveals the figure in Mass Effect 3′s ‘Destroy’ ending

Bioware reveals the figure in Mass Effect 3′s ‘Destroy’ ending

Mass Effect 3's Extended Cut DLC

Bioware’s biggest hit this year so far left a lot of unanswered questions going through the ending before the Extended Cut DLC was released.

And while the free downloadable content answered many questions, it didn’t specifically reveal whether that figure in the ‘Destroy’ ending was actually the main character, which of course is Mr. Shepard. Thankfully, Tully Ackland, UK Community Coordinator for BioWare titles, has been telling everyone who owns the title what most of us already expected. Shepard is indeed alive in the ‘Destroy’ ending and that figure is actually him.

As what has been revealed at BioWare’s forums:

You may notice that in the “Shepard lives” ending, the love interest hesitates to place Shepard’s name on the wall, and instead looks up as though deep in thought. This is meant to suggest that the love interest is not ready to believe Shepard is dead, and the final scene reveals they are correct.

Satisfied? Well, probably you may want to have more content for Mass Effect 3 in the future now that you know Shepard is still alive. Or maybe not.
