GTA 5 can wait, according to ESRB ratings

GTA 5 can wait, according to ESRB ratings

A scene from GTA V's trailer.

It seems Rockstar wants to get you excited with the Grand Theft Auto franchise before eventually releasing the much anticipated GTA V title.

Just recently, Grand Theft Auto 3 and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City has been rolled into the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) for their rating system which puts a real indication that the classic titles is totally PSN-bound.

So as to put ourselves clearly, the games will be ported to the PlayStation 3 and marketed for the PlayStation Store. Both GTA 3 and Vice City were big titles for the PS2 back when they released so it does makes sense that Sony would want them available online for the PS3 consumers.

However, there has been no confirmation from neither Rockstar Games nor Sony, but ESRB is an extremely reliable bet when it comes to re-releases especially for a huge franchise like Grand Theft Auto.

  1. If this is in standard definition then I really don’t give a f*** about this because I already have them on ps2 but this could mean that they are going to use this as marketing gta v. Just think when max payne 3 was getting released they also put max payne on iphone and android phones as a cheap way to get some money off the anticipation of max payne 3 and this could be the same thing for gta v so I guess we can expect info soon :) Im guessing july 2nd is the release of the second trailer as that marks a full month of max payne 3 being out on pc!

its interesting, using these games as to possibly stall us for the next installment, or Vice City and GTA III could be a bonus to a special limited edition pack for GTA V, either way, I’m excited.

  3. it kinda makes my think rockstar ran out of money… i hear horrible reviews on their new game max payne 3 not getting enough sales could be the out come.

  4. Max Payne 3 hasn’t gotten any “horrible” reviews. It isn’t selling all that well because it’s not the game fans are waiting for from R* and it’s not a universally desired game in general at the moment. Over the next year, when AC3, Halo 4, BO2 and others are coming out, people aren’t overly interested in spending money on a linear game which, while graphically stunning with great gameplay, isn’t something people see themselves playing for long period of time like Skyrim or a new GTA.

So, um, wtf does this have to do with GTA5?
