With Nintendo showing off the Wii U at E3 and Sony and Microsoft being left behind, some might say that Nintendo will have a good head start in the next generation of consoles. Sony however doesn’t believe that.
Speaking to Joystiq, SCEA Senior VP of Product Development and worldwide studios Scott Rohde says Sony isn’t worried about Wii U potentially being the leader because of its launch lead.
“Not at all. That’s the simple answer,” said Rohde. “We have a very strong vision in what we believe we’re gonna do for the next generation. And we’re not talking about it at all yet,” he continued. “The reality is let’s build a great machine. And we’ll talk about it then.”
Sony learned the hard way of what happens when you rush a console out before it’s ready and another rushed console will spell doom for the already troubled company.
