The official reveal of the DLC’s name is somewhat unsurprising after the Skyrim community had to endure a number of speculations leading to the announcement.
There hasn’t been much details too, latest company’s blog post only shows Skyrim Dawnguard’s poster along with the text “Coming this summer to Xbox 360. More details at E3.”
If you take a closer look, you will notice that the announcement only references the Xbox 360 version and not the mod-heaven PC version or the somewhat broken PS3 version. This is due to the exclusivity deal Bethesda had in agreement with Microsoft which has been announced last year at E3 where the first two Skyrim DLC sets will arrive on the Xbox 360 first a month earlier than the other platforms.
We had to admit that while the image isn’t giving away anything obvious, what we can say is that Dawnguard will be more than the standard DLC you’ve seen in the market. It has been strengthened by game director, Todd Howard’s words that the DLC for Skyrim would be “substantial” and more like full expansions as opposed to the little ones you often get with other games.
