Sony PS 4 News | Grand Theft Auto 5 Review | Skyrim News | Xbox 720 Release Date
what happened to the video you said you were going to post for the people who didn’t listen live?
LOL at 42:19…GOSH! This has to be the funniest warzone i’ve heard in a while.
This episode was hilarious especially when LordVonps3 but HHG on “blast” during their debate. Glad to see the warzone is back to its best.
I’ve heard numerous times on the older warzones that hiphop has traded the xbox version for PS3 versions from companies. If thats not biased, i don’t know what is.
I think that HHG’s bias towards Sony and the PS3 has been apparent to most of us. It’s not like he dislikes the xbox he just thinks that anything Sony shits out is gold and with his advertising deal with Sony (240Hz bravia ring any bells) he is willing to ride that corporate dick even harder.
If Hiphop trades in a 360 version, review copy of a game, to then review the PS3 version of that game, he is doing his fans a dis-service. If he is trading in 360 versions, that companies send him, for PS3 versions for his own personal use…there is no bias there. He can play whatever system his little heart desires in his personal time, why would people care what system he plays in his personal time anyway. Either way who gives a fuck. If you feel he is bias for whatever reason, stop typing his URL into your search bar.
Preach! Only Xbots have a problem that HHG prefers PS3. Everyone else don’t care.
I never said that. From what he said from the previous warzones, he’s trading in the 360 version to then review the PS3 version. I don’t care what a reviewer does in his personal time. But when you are REVIEWING games, you have to put personal preferences to the side.
If Hiphop trades 360 version of a game 4 a inferior version on the ps3 like Bayonetta ,He is being bias ! A true gamer wants 2 experience the best possible version of any game regardless of the system on which it is played .
Dirty should be an official co-host lol. This episode was hilarious.
It would not be difficult for HHG to *rent* other platform versions at (or near) launch and run a quick comparison between versions in his reviews. I would expect to be entertained if HHG ran platform comparisons for games explaining which version he thinks is best and why. In as much as I understand HHG loves his PS3 controller and that the PS3 is his preferred console – both these things are only a part of the overall gaming experience. I doubt HHG loves his controller so much that he busts it out of his briefcase during his lunch break just to hammer on the buttons. With regards to his statements on the show… I don’t believe HHG truly understands the meaning of the word “bias”. HHG described being biased as buying only one system and games for that system. That is not *just* bias – but is bias in the extreme. Bias is much a bubble in a spirit level, it doesn’t only sit in the exact middle or at the extremes but may also inclines towards a polar extreme at the expense of (equally – or more) valid / listing alternatives. HHG’s energy and passion for gaming is a manifestation of his intense personality. Whether he’s “smashing you”, “shutting you down”, “blasting you”, etc – it all makes for archaic and (at best) comedic entertainment unparalleled to efforts made by employed, articulated and professional writers / presenters. Lest we forget, Hip Hop Gamer answers to no-one and freely admits he wouldn’t have this any other way – but I believe this gives him the leverage to run amok, effectively limiting his options for paid, professional work.I suspect the attention HHG gives to other publications and journalists on Twitter is for self promotion. I see nothing to back up his claims that he’s the #1 journalist in the industry. Whilst I wouldn’t say Jim Sterling is #1 either, all of his offensive material – sexually depraved jokes, Willem Dafoe jokes, Rutger Hauer movie plots, etc – seem limited to Podtoid and Twitter. Jim has (rightly so) been told off for his Podtoid indiscretions but the last time I remember HHG being told off, it was by Torrence Davis for posting dubious headlines on this website. In effect, HHG felt forced to withdraw (or – unclear to me – was otherwise fired) and I suspect HHG would find himself in a similar situation doing work for any respectable publication he didn’t own. Finally, while HHG seemingly enjoys putting Jim Sterling, IGN staff, Kotaku staff, etc, etc – “on blast”, my only hope is that HHG one day has the graciousness to admit that Jim’s written review work is typically descriptive – crediting the overall assessment. Given that any and all reviews are opinion based, Jim does at least review multi-platform games across different platforms and some games may seem / play better for it - such as games that drop frames a lot on one system – but not the other. I honestly cannot remember the last time I read a HHG video game review as it all seems to be video work. In my opinion writing should be a core mainstay of a journalist’s work, even if that is not essential. The work HHG does is best described and construed as presentation / entertainment / reporting and anyone would have a tough time proving this is not journalism. While I understand how people say HHG is not a jounalist this is technically not true. That being said, I certainly cannot say HipHopGamer is unbiased, nor is he a good writer. That he tends to set his own boundaries / rules, that he does not get given tasks to perform, nor get paid for completing those tasks – I would not class HipHopGamer as a professional journalist.Stay classy Bitbaggers.Thank-you.
Not defending HHG here but I thought you had stopped coming to this place after the ridiculous tantrum act along with that detestable little fart MikeMadden a couple of years ago after Mass Effect 2 was given GOTY, claiming you was not going to return. I was hoping someone might of brought that up to you. Having said that I thought it made the show this “debate” trolling or not. warzone needs more stuff like that so hats off to you LordVon, you made it funny and good listening.
In cyberspace – death is just an archive and time is but a ntp server. Whether you consider it trolling, entertaining or ridiculing is irrelevant as abuse and credit come for free on this show… I made a demonstrable argument.
Had to say Hiphop didn’t know what he was talking about. BSN(bioware social network) has millions of people posting theories about the ending. Any one of these theories would have been better than what was presented. Folks even wrote their own. They even want to PAY for a DLC ending.
