EA Offers Up Cross Promotion Bonus Items For Mass Effect 3 and Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

Today, EA announced something for Mass Effect fans in the form of in-game items which will be added to their Mass Effect 3 and Reckoning experiences once they download and play the Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning and Mass Effect 3′s demo, expected to be coming out soon, designed by the renowned creator of Spawn, Todd McFarlane, adding a total of seven unlockable special items. Mass Effect 3 items for playing the Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning demo are the Reckoner Knight Armor which allows players in Mass Effect 3 to gain maximize damage in close-quarters combat while it feeds a power cell that energizes to increase projectile velocity, The Chakram Launcher that uses explosive ammunition discs that is unlocked after finishing the game’s demo, whereas Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning gets Onmiblade Daggers made to look like the weapon’s you’ll be using in Mass Effect 3, and the famous N7 Armor we all come to know and love rebuilt for the customizable Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.

Dr. Ray Muzyka, General Manager of EA’s BioWare Label and Co-Founder of BioWare spoke about this celebration between BioWare and 38 Studios saying, “We are excited to be collaborating with 38 Studios to bring pieces inspired by the Mass Effect universe into the world of Reckoning and to have items designed by Todd McFarlane in Mass Effect 3.”

But EA has also taken a step further by offering more content for their upcoming Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning video game demo to unlock like the Twist of Fate Card which gives players ice resistances once they use their Origin character after activation, The Infernal Helm provides fire resistances once players pass the game’s tutorial, and finally the Twinned Souls Chakram is a weapon designed to cause damage to enemies while players keep gaining mana and health.
