Amazon Launches Electronics Trade-In Program

Amazon Launches Electronics Trade-In Program

Amazon’s trade-in program has been live for two years now starting back in 2009, originally launching with textbooks, video games and movies being the only eligible items accepted. They’re now adding electronics to the list of eligible trade-in items, including tablets, cell phones, MP3 players, cameras, GPS devices and more. Amazon’s trade-in program allows you to receive an Amazon gift card in exchange for the items you send in, those gift cards can then be used to purchase items on the site. With the inclusion of electronics in the trade-in program, gift cards can be used in the consumer electronics store. If you’ve traded products in to Amazon before you’ll be happy to know that electronic trade-ins share the same free shipping benefits as DVD’s, movies and textbooks. You can also pack multiple items mixing them together in one box and ship them to Amazon saving you the chore of boxing multiple items separately. Similarly to eBay and auction sites alike products are labeled with Like New,” “Good” and “Acceptable,” tags.
