  1. Thank you guys for your input ,I learned a lot ,I use SUPERAntiSpyware + Norton internet security which come with my internet package I used Kaspersky then McAfee before but they weren’t good , a lot of problem and crashes ,your Computer becomes slower and slower with time Then I used Norton internet security which is very light and it caught most of the Viruses that Kasper sky and McAfee couldn’t pickup ,after that I formatted My PC Norton is one of the best I am still using the 2010 version ,not sure about 2011 version ,try it guys There is one program I would like to add but it is not for everybody to use ,you have to know what you are doing before you use it ,the name of the program is “HijackThis” please read about the program before you use it, because you might delete something that you don’t want to delete Thank you guys for the info it was really helpful

Glad to have provided insight. It’s been some time since i’ve actually had to use Hijack This, I agree though if initial attempts at virus removal fail Hijack This provides in-depth details about EVERYTHING installed and present. Very resourceful tool. Another tool you could look up is Combo Fix i know a little while back it’s popularity had risen and it’s quite useful as well. Also check out Sophos Anti-Rootkit, in-case you run into one. Some companies actually install rootkits on purpose as a DRM protection scheme. Not only do rootkits usually leave backdoors open to your computer they pose a huge security risk. Sophos has a PC and Mac client. And yeah McAfee just isn’t good… stay far, far away.

  2. Ive tried Norton 2010 and it was really good. But couldnt keep paying each year for the newest version. So I look to AVG and Avast. Tried AVG first and it was good but Avast was so much better and light weight. I install Avast and CC cleaner on all my computers. I have never had an issue with any virus at all. Any of you guys tried it? Just curious since none of you mentioned it.

  3. Timell Grant says:

Yes Norton has stepped their game up since years past and the success is that the bloat that used to come with it’s security is broken up into many different products in suites. Norton 2011 stand alone or the Internet Security suite are both good products and if you could, it’s actually worth paying for. I haven’t used Avast, Kaspersky, Trend Micro or even F-secure in years. In some point in time they all had their use for me but i’ve come to a point where Eset’s NOD32 and Malwarebytes are the combination best suited for me. Though I can’t even recall when i last received a virus/trojan or malware (had to be around 04′ -05′) it’s usually safest to have two different AV systems in place. And with that it comes down to results and system impact. As time went on AVG became a system hog along with McAfee and even Kaspersky, some less then others. CC cleaner is a good tool most of the Piriform tools are. Go look up Hiren’s BootCD lot’s of tools to try out. You’ll be surprised about some you may not have heard about and just how good they are, besides this is one all-in-one kit i can vouch for.
