Yesterday, Microsoft released the full details of their upcoming Metro: Redux. For your information guys, Metro Redux is a collection of both Metro Last Light and Metro 2033.
Even if both games have been released in the last-gen consoles and PC, there are some fascinating info about the achievements, and the required memory space to install both Metro Last Light and Metro 2033. This is quite surprising, but neither of the game is that large, actually. The memory space you need to install Metro Last Light is only 9.2GB, and 7.85GB for Metro 2033.
If you will try to compare it to other releases for the next generation hardware, these games will occupy nothing, practically. Xbox One’s Titan Fall, arguably the most popular game to date comes in at 17.34GB. Oh, and that is merely the initial game’s size. No DLC map packs included. Most games are much larger in file size, with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag eating 20.81GB disk space of your hard drive, and Battlefield 4 costing a whopping 34.62GB memory space.
Because of this, gamers will not have to worry much about their hard drive’s available memory space, which is bound to make the game an even more irresistible purchase. When it comes to popularity, the Metro series has never really gone mainstream. But the 4A Games (Metro’s developer) promised that the forthcoming Metro: Redux is going to have an improved gameplay and powerful visuals to compete with other FPS games that are already available. Because of the latest iteration of the 4A Engine, the first game of the Metro series, 2033 is gonna get a heavy makeup and will feature an all-new lighting engine. Both Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light will be running at 60fps on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The Metro: Redux will be released on August 29, this year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Two new Windows Phones will be released by Microsoft soon.
This is according to new rumours which are circulating now in the internet.
Recent news said that Microsoft will be launching two (new) Windows Phone devices which will be called – Superman and Testa. Rumours said that Superman is a selfie phone while no mention was made about what would be the main catch of the other device. Another detail would be that both devices will come with Windows Phone 8.1 operating system.
Moreover, a chief personnel from Microsoft has confirmed to a well-known tech-site the plan of the company to release Superman and the Tesla. Being a selfie phone, Superman is said to come with a 5-megapixel forward-facing camera and 4.7-inch display.
On the other hand, it was reported that the Tesla will come as an “affordable high-end phone” with a PureView camera. It was also said that most likely, Tesla will be a replacement for the Lumia 720. If this plan would pursue, Tesla would mark a new effort to push PureView down to even lower price points. Reports also said that Tesla looks squarely similar to Lumia 930.
Meanwhile, Microsoft is said to provide Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 to developers and device makers. Reports said that the update will include hardware and feature improvements ready for new devices.
These new plans could be said to be in relation to Satya Nadella’s open letter to Microsoft’s employees just recently.
“Our first-party devices will light up digital work and life. Surface Pro 3 is a great example – it is the world’s best productivity tablet. In addition, we will build first-party hardware to stimulate more demand for the entire Windows ecosystem. That means at times we’ll develop new categories like we did with Surface. It also means we will responsibly make the market for Windows Phone, which is our goal with the Nokia devices and services acquisition,” Nadella said.
For more information about Microsoft’s plan to launch two (2) Windows Phone soon, stay tuned with us.

Katamari Forever and all the other Katamari games have a place in my heart right next to the Lovecraftian lore. But I’m not here to discuss if you’ve accepted Cthulhu our lord and saviour into your life or that The King of All Cosmos is the blind, idiot god Azatoth at the center of all eternity.
I’m here to discuss some general tips and tricks for reaching the sizes RoboKing asks you to roll. For some, it may be difficult especially when he asks you to start with paper clips and end with Guren Lagann sizes.
So how do you get your Katamari to such sizes that Roboking won’t find it hard to measure your creation since it’s so small? Here are some tips and tricks:
Master the controls.
This is really the first step to getting anywhere in any game. Learn how to turn, jump face the other way and dash. These controls may help you get those last few kilometres at the end and meet the mission parameters.
Being able to roll a lot of things at the same time doesn’t mean you’re getting the right size.
Just because you hear the sound and feel the controller vibrate, that doesn’t mean you’re on the right track. You might be getting items too small for you.
You know you’re on the right track if the items you choose to roll are picked up all the time.
When you keep on bumping into things you can’t pick up, you aren’t in the right area.
Look at how big the items you’re picking up are using the upper left measurement indicator.
Katamari is all about relative size. There is an optimum size to get a certain item. Try to remember which items make your Katamari’s measurements bigger once you pick them up at a certain stage.
When you get that heart, DASH!
If picking up a heart doesn’t end right away, dash to where there are large clumps or items. This picks everything up on your way that can be picked up.
If you knock something over, go back and roll over it again to pick it up.
Moving and barely-rollable items get knocked over when you’re just about able to get them. Go back to get them and see your measurements jump!
While I haven’t played enough of this game to tell you which items are the best to pick up at a certain time, the general idea with Katamari games is that you need to be rolling the biggest items you can at any time. This may mean leaving the items you were eyeing before behind for better ones.
Now, if you want to talk about The King of All Cosmos and how Katamari games reinforce my beliefs that the Elder Gods are stirring, drop me a comment!
Riot Games introduces Gnar, a new champion, into the League of Legends world
Riot Games introduces Gnar, a new champion, into the League of Legends world.
Following a recent tease about an upcoming champion, game developer Riot Games has finally confirmed the arrival of Gnar. This new League of Legends (LoL) champion reveal comes with a complete backstory, gameplay insights, and new abilities.
Gnar is a descendant of Teemo and the other yordles, it was frozen in ice and was now freed into the vast League of Legends world, according to the official announcement posted on the LoL website. Gnar’s distinct abilities include transforming to its mini and mega form at will.
In the same Gnar announcement, Riot shared this complete backtory:
“Time marches on for most, but not Gnar. A yordle born millennia ago, Gnar was captured and trapped in true ice, frozen – quite literally – in time. Civilizations formed and fell as the prehistoric yordle vacantly stared on, but nothing – not even true ice – could confine Gnar forever. After breaking free, he wandered Runeterra until he found himself taken in by his yordle descendants. But, as they would soon discover, there’s a beast behind the boy.”
Upon playing League of Legends, you will get to experience Gnar’s various abilities. One of those is its Passive Gene, which is the ability that makes it transform into Mega Gnar. While in this form, its magic resist, armor, attack damage, and health will all be augmented. On the other hand, its attack speed and range will be diminished. Other abilities include Wallop, Crunch, Hop, and Boomerang Throw.
Furthermore, to transform into mega form, Gnar must charge its rage meter. This charging can be hastened by engaging in combat and using various abilities. Logically, while in mega form, the rage meter will eventually drain and Gnar will revert back to its mini version. Being a tank, Mega Gnar is reliable when it comes to burst damage and helping in teamfight. Mini Gnar depends on its speed and mobility in order to survive in its more fragile form.
We’ve seen Gnar’s mini form (see image above) as Riot included it in their announcement. For Gnar’s mega form, all we have is silhouette from a teaser video (see below) hinting that it is some sort of a lynchanthrope-ish creature.

This weekend, Marvel fans had been waiting for announcements from the Marvel movie machine, but were visibly let down. Out of already 8 films that were scheduled to come out, Marvel only revealed one of them, and that was Guardians of the Galaxy 2. The first film is currently set to come out tomorrow, and it is even touted to be bigger and better than Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Some fans were even waiting for news of even just Doctor Strange, or a Thor 3, or perhaps, a third Avengers film. But why the secrecy?
It’s just as simple as Marvel not knowing these movies, either. Its Marvel’s formula in movies which had been successes one way or another, and it works quite efficiently. Nick Fury’s appearance near the end of the first Iron Man was “by accident”; so is the Tesseract’s appearance in the first Captain America movie, a move that paved the way for the introduction of Thanos. Marvel has quite taken this approach to comic book release on the silver screen, and it’s worked out for them thus far.
Perhaps another reason could be the way the movie industry works. There are a lot of things that could happen even before filming starts on the second or third trilogy of your film, and for this, you need a lot of things; the availability of budget, the commitment of your cast, and the success of the movie itself on movie day. Trilogies or four-film movies die because sometimes, the first or the second movie bombs out at the box office, or your lead actor suddenly re-commits to another project. All hope for your momentum is lost, and you are suddenly left with a whole lot of problems to deal with since you are committed to releasing the third movie.
“So far, so good” can be used to describe what’s been happening to Marvel as of late. While not all of their movies enjoyed box office success, none of these were bombs, and that keeps their target of releasing a movie on a specific date as a follow-up on track. One of their strengths has been their management of their schedule, and this is the one skill that has managed to get them the go ahead in the comic book film world.
It remains to be seen whether the studio will keep their word on these schedules and if they will follow-up the movies as planned, but so far, the dates remain fluid, pending the release of already revealed titles. Scheduling is key, so they say, and sometimes, it does work to their advantage. Like in the case of the release date for Superman v Batman: Dawn of Justice. Marvel went ahead and released a statement for a movie on that date, and DC called their bluff, releasing Dawn of Justice on that day. Surprise, surprise; untitled movie turned out to be Captain America 3, one film which was left hanging at the end of the second, and one that would no doubt be lined up on by fans loyal to the series.
Would this be the case even if DC decided to release their film on a later or earlier date? Marvel’s been doing well with the waiting game, so if you want to know what the new movies are and when they’re going to come out, you have to wait a long time; Marvel’s doing the waiting game, too.
Looking for a new tactical/strategy role playing game?
If so, then you will be interested to know that there is one heading your way very soon. This is in the form of Crowntakers, developed and created by Kasedo Games and Bulwark Studios. It’s already in its final development stage, and with the preview trailer that was just recently released, it appears that the game will really entertain and interest gamers out there.
The game’s play style is kind of similar to a board game, wherein the environment comes with some sort of hexagonal patterns. Basically, what this means is that every aspect of the game, whether combat or movement, is turn-based. This also means that players would have to carefully lay out their plans of action. One of the game’s features expected to be quite enjoyable is that both the enemy and the environment will be generated in a procedural manner. Each and every game session that will be played will vary, a feature that increases the replay value of the Crowntakers.
Below is a list of the most notable features of the game.
Set in a fantasy world that is impressively beautiful
Turn-based strategy game meets role playing game
Every time that the game is started, the encounters and the environments are rebuilt, something that will definitely encourage players to make various plans and different strategies
Over 8 procedural environments that range from castles to mountain passes
9 different mercenaries can be hired to combat bandits, knights, and wildlife
Archers, wizards, scouts, and other characters come with unique class skills
It is packed with alternative endings
All of the features that you may be looking for in a great RPG and turn-based game are included in Crowntakers. You can expect the need for your characters to level up, learn new spells, acquire new abilities, and equip them with much stronger gear among many others. The additional hire-a-mercenary aspect of the game also makes it all more interesting.
