When Killzone 3 is released there will be a ton of games in the FPS genre ready to compete but, the combination of 3D, Playstation move support, stronger online, bigger and better graphics, with a deeper story it’s going to be difficult for any game to go toe to toe with the great Killzone 3.

You also missed a golden opportunity to ask him why is there no co-op through the campaign! Why didnt you ask him that? The omission of that question is the only reason this wasn’t a perfect interview.
Killzone 3 must not be co-op, you had the perfect opportunity to ask that question when the guy on his knee talked about: bringing a buddy over to play some Battle Toads & then 4 guys are over & everyone’s playing games.
Perfect opportunity was missed, because you know, the very game in your title came with it in the form of “4 Player Campaign Co-op”. Campaign Co-op is a feature that not 1 of the Vaunted PS3 exclusives have this Generation!

My Comment is not a fanboy comment. But because it doesn’t praise SONY and a SoNY exclusive I can see why you think it is.
My comment points out the flaws in the quotes that is stated on HHG’s show. If you can’t see that, then you are more blinded than I thought. I also stated a couple times “IMO” which means IN MY OPINION. Do you see any sort of “opinion” in HHG’s quotes….NO you don’t, in other words, HHG is presenting the quote as FACT. Which as you can see from my breakdown is NOT FACT but just another SONY FANBOY quote with absolutely NO CREDIBILITY to back ANY of it up.
Grow up usCoMmAnDeR and remove the Sony Goggles for just a moment. Try and comprehend what the quote that HHG made means and is implying and then re-read my break down of each BS propaganda point he made as to WHY HHG states that KZ3 welcomes the “challenge” of Gears 3. Stats, numbers, FACTS all indicate that it should be the other way around….As so many people have pointed out.

Gears sales and review average score has already been posted so the question is this. Why isn’t the title Reach or Gears 3 welcomes Killzone 3 challenge?
HHG didn’t you post an article about how hyped Killzone 2 was and how bad the launch was. Practically you were the only person at the midnight launch for Gamestop. Killzone 3 will not have the same hype that Halo: Reach will recieve when it won’t even compare to the block parties and Time Square launch parties that Halo 2 and 3 had all over the country. Have you not learned from hyping up the game so much are you blinded that much by your bias?
Isnt it common knowledge by now that 360 outsells ps3 in NPD usually?

I don’t think Sony’s Tv division really cares much about Gears 3. Or their Viao department, or their R&D department….
Hmmmm. I question the title. I guess you have to put “SONY” in there because it stands out MORE than Guerrilla Games does and thus gets more attention when supporting your favorite gaming console.
The guy that he interviewed works for Sony not Guerrilla Games.
I think Killzone 3 would be the one to challenge Gears 3 considering:

Gears 1 sales: 6.06m
Gears 2 metacritic: 93
Gears 2 sales: 5.79m
vs.
Killzone 1 metacritic: 70
Killzone 1 sales: .75m
Killzone 2 metacritic: 91
Killzone 2 sales: 2.34m
No matter how you look at it the Gears franchise has dominated the Killzone franchise both critically and commercially, and you are a fool if you say otherwise. I doubt seriously if Epic gives two shits about K3. The ONLY thing that matters to developers at the end of the day is sales and Gears is outpacing Killzone by an average of almost 4 to 1 in that category. You might as well say Gears is going to be challenged by Ghost Recon; it would make more sense, and even still would make very little. But then again GR isn’t a PS3 exclusive, so I doubt HHG would ever make himself look like such a tool on it’s behalf.
The only purpose this article/video serves is to promote K3 in a biased way. There was never any intent to fairly compare these 2 games, but then again why would you in the first place? The only thing they have in common is the colorless/gray art style, clunky controls, and the fact that they are both console exclusives. I seriously doubt if HHG would have done this to begin with if Gears 3 was multiplat.

At this point, I’m just kind of tired of being told I should want to play one game just because “some dude” says it will be better than some other game, especially when neither of those games will be out for six to ten months.
Good interview ! It’s cool that they have really listened to the gamers and fixed things that people were complaining about, seems like it’s gonna run alot smoother. That dude seemed real cool, he said that he will be playing Gears 3, bullet storm, and killzone 3 and he works for Sony and he isn’t even a fanboy, Some of you should learn something from that.
I totally agree that this was one of your best interviews! Im always hyped for anything Killzone. I dont think it will ever happen but imagine if GG made a CG movie or short film and bundled it with a special edition. I think that would be sick. Or even maybe going overboard with this one, a CG TV show airing live on PS Home or just have it as an exclusive PSN download. There are many ways GG can expand the franchise. Im pretty sure since the fans of the franchise, like me, would just want a game in the future, but dont you think the best way to expand your franchise is to use another medium? The backstory alone deserves not to be ignored, gentlemen! Suggestion- Let the fist movie or short film be about the century, The Terran Era, and have elements from the game, especially the atmosphere. And blah blah blah…I wont nerd on about wat i think is possible with the Killzone franchise and its backstory. Man if u know the backstory, you can definitely create a alot of different things. Ok im gonna stop now. Feb 2011, Im waiting patiently to kill some higs.
Killzone 3 should be more concerned about the new Deus Ex which is released around the same time frame. Gears is April.
Action RPG vs FPS. I dont think Killzone 3 has to worry that much. The first 1 flopped badly on consoles. People usually associate Deus Ex with pc.
