Cool its a shame how frickn expensive this things are tho must say… but I guess to some its worth it.

what i am curious about is if this tool could be used the other way around, for example: could you connect your ps3 directly to this device through the hdmi port then connect the usb to your pc in order to display whatever is going on on your pc?
if that is possible then right off the bat it would be 50 bucks cheaper than the nearest HD PVR which totally grabs my attention.
edit: ah….nvm, the hdmi output would need to be an imput in order for something like that to work….

Going from HDMI to your PC assuming your PC doesn’t have an HDMI input slot then you might wanna try HDMI to DVI. I never tried it but the adapters aren’t that expensive. The same with regular HDMI to USB adapters you don’t always require a converter.

yeah i ending up doing that a while ago with this wire i bought off of amazon. it works great and allows me to view my laptop and ps3 off of the same screen
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001TH7T2U/ref=oss_product
but i recently ran into a situation where whenever i wanted to record something it i had to view it on a tiny 14″ sd tv sitting right next to me that makes it pretty difficult to view everything thats going on. until i get an hdtv in my room, it looks likes ill be sticking to that….that is if there is some kind of DVI to Composite/Component cable that will connect properly to my 19″ LCD monitor and from there will go to a set of adapters that connect with my ps3.

“Easily connect up to 6 (Windows OS)/ 4 (Mac OS) monitors to one PC through USB 2.0.”
SOLD!!!! Add the fact that it’s USB powered and that’s just golden. A tad expensive too, also check out http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/ for some really quality products in relations with video editing/capture/monitoring and adapters.
If products like this http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Unlimited-Wireless-Adapter-Audio/dp/B0030C9V3C could get the kinks worked out that would be next step.

Yeah it does seem interesting… especially for people that dont have hdmi outputs etc

Well I’ll be damn! I actually ended up buying some Atlona VGA/Audio to Cat 5 adapters. Pretty sweet shit worked like a charm too.

I didn’t pay that price either it was about $50 cheaper, well actually my job paid for it so

This device is would not certainly be used for gaming. It probably uses the brute force of CPU processing to send the signals across the USB wire. It’s still whole lot cheaper (and probably a whole lot better to output PC games from your video card) to use a DVI to HDMI adapter for the video http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001TH7T2U/ref=oss_product and a 1/8″ mini to RCA adapter for the sound http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Audio-Cable-Splitter-1-Mini/dp/B00004Z5CP/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1279845590&sr=1-1
This method would probably be the only way to output PC games on a high def t.v. Unless you have an HDMI out on the video card itself, then you would not need an adapter. By the way, crysis looks freaking amazing on a 50″ high def t.v. coming from a system with 2 nvidia geforce video cards and 3 gpu’s. One video card (geforce gtx 295) has 2 gpu’s in SLI and the second video card (geforce 8800 gtx) is assigned as the dedicated physx processor.
