2K Sports has been the reigning champion for many many years but all greatness will be challenged and history does repeat itself and this year it very may happen. NBA ELITE 11 isn’t just a name change to a franchise but it’s a leap in gameplay so deep that skill and only skill will be required to master this game.
Just like Backbreaker NBA Elite is much more physics based and extremely detailed like a real NBA game, everyone will be blown away by the increase in gameplay and intensity for this title.
NBA 2K better step their game up as well or THEY WILL LOSE THE TITLE THIS YEAR

@HipHop, EA shouldn’t come out with a game this year! You do know this is the first time JORDAN has been in a basketball game in over 10 or 15 years right? EA is about to get a taste of their NFL license NBA Style! JORDAN is on the cover of NBA 2K! There is nothing EA can do this year, period. EA better hope 2K doesnt release some Air Jordan’s with the game for $260. I’d be shocked if they sell 1 copy of NBA Elite. Tell EA there’s no such thing as NBA Elite if JORDAN isn’t in your friggin game.
What does Jordan being in the game have to do with the quality of the game? Think about that. If you want, I can use your random logic. NBA 2K is putting Jordan in the game because they have no answer for NBA Elite’s progress and can’t fix the glitches and malfunctions in their own game, especially from last year. Silly isn’t it? How about people play the game first, then judge?
smh otherZinc. Buying a game because of cover art is facepalm. Ive always been a fan of the Live series even thou its usually considered the lesser game. OtherZinc Would you buy Barbie’s horse adventure if Master Chief was on the cover? @HipHop That live broadcst feature I think is only in the Ea MMA game.
Otherzinc makes a point. In terms of quality, the cover athlete means nothing. However in terms of sales, the cover athlete could be the deciding factor. There are A LOT of old school Jordan fans out there and I being one of them. I think Jordan being on the cover is an indication that there will be an old school all-stars mode where you will be able to play some of the greats. Imagine playing with Ewing, Barkley, Drexler, Bird, Magic, Rodman, Starks, Miller, Malone, Pippen, Muller Spud Webb, and so many more….That alone is a purchase for me. However I do feel that EA has really stepped up their NHL games and have pretty much made 2K’s NHL obsolete. I am giving EA the benefit of the doubt. But like I do every year this gen, I will be buying both since EA and 2K always have different elements to the game that the other doesn’t.
They have had those legends rosters in 2k9 and other previous titles.
First time i agree wit OZinc the average person goes to walmart or whatever thy see Elite wit durant n 2K wit jordan on the front the average person is gonna logically choose Jordan. he jus statin the obvious
I agree that the average person will see Jordan and want that. It’s the same as my 26 yr old brother waiting overnight inns line of moron to buy new Jordan sneakers. Jordan is a brand. I’m not saying which game is better because I haven’t played either and I hate basketball. I bought nba2k10 I think and played it 2 times and mailed it to spennyT along with a picture of a large penis attached to the game disc
As for the “proof” I didn’t see any and proof means 100% definitive u r correct no doubt about it Johnny game over man game over proof and there wasn’t any here.
I still don’t like the animations for this game. Looks like they’re playing basketball on ice. The animations in the NBA 2K series are far more realistic IMO. Also, 2K’s NBA presentation is second to none. Can’t remember where I read it, but 2K is doing a graphics and gameplay overhaul. I Love the fact that EA is trying to do different things with Elite, competition brings out the best in everyone and we, the gamers win. But til EA’s bball team prove themselves, my money’s on 2K like it’s been since the dreamcast days.
Well its great their providing a demo for us before the game ships so we can truly compare.
I agree, I think this may end up being the NBA game that takes the crown…finally, But HIPHOPGAMER would you PLEASE stop using the word PROOF in your videos. This is NOT PROOF. Learn the meaning of what PROOF means. This is not even the finished version of the game, nor is 2K’s version finished. You don’t even know everything that each game is going to have. So please, in the name of all that is great, STOP saying the video is proof on all your videos.

Basketball without JORDAN is like watching Golf without Tiger, Corn Flakes without the milk, buying flip-flops & not having toes! Now, Jordan is going to be in the game for the first time in a long@ss time & its in the better game, please! EA is toast. EA “Ain’t gone do S**T”! EA is going to bring the same garbage they’ve brought to the table with damn near every sports game they’ve made for the last 10 years (take a great option away & reintroduce it in 3 or 4 years, call it new & rotate). This is the very reason Ive yet to purchase MADDEN in the last 5 or 6 years & my favorite NCAA Football in 3 or 4 years. I can go on all day on EA & their BS! Most of all, the 2K Series has been the better “Quality” game for years now. With Air JORDAN aboard, that would solidify an @ss whoopin for 2010. The only way EA can top NBA2K JORDAN, is to spend FARRRR more money than they will ever make on Elite on Advertising. And Yes, I’m buying it Day 1. Jordan is my 2nd favorite athlete & my son & daughter wear the damn shoes.
@Otherzinc You are joking right? First, I have no interest in the sales of games. I didn’t develop or publish these games. I don’t work for their Marketing. I don’t work for EA or 2K games period. I don’t own stock. Sales mean nothing to me. I will get the game with the better gameplay quality. Secondly, Jordan is NOT an active player in the NBA. He hasn’t been for sometime now, seeing he is now in the hall of fame. I am a jordan fan, but if I want to play simulation NBA basketball, I want to use players that play NOW! Now, people may get a game because of the cover athlete, but I would like to give people more credit than that. That to me is foolishou. Besides, have you played either game? I have, and thats why I gave my views. In the end, we have to wait until the games come out to judge. I am not fond of judging things early based on hype and bias.

Most don’t have stock in video games, however, this title sparks the debate of sales, as sales will be the ultimate decision maker for a win or loss. If you are speaking off “Your Opinion” of a retired Jordan’s relevance in the NBA Video-game Market, this discussion is over. No one can change someones opinion & I’m not trying to or will never do. With that being said, this is a FACT: Any human diminishing the relevance of Air Jordan in the advertising market is being ridiculous. There’s a reason Jordan’s Brand is the largest or among the largest in today’s apparel & athletic shoe markets. Years & years after his playing days, Jordan is still among the Endorsement Elite in the world today. You cant walk into an Elementary School, Junior High School, High School, Pre School, or University, without seeing several pairs of Air Jordan Gym Shoes. If you vist a mall near you, you’ll find a line outside your local Footlocker; yes the new Jordan’s drop soon. And lastly, 2K has always been the better game & from EA’s track record “They Ain’t Gone Do S***” to make it better! Nothing! Of course we need to play the games, however, by EA’s history, they’re toast with this title! Also, I’m not biased towards EA in that regard, we developed the first Madden League as College Juniors in 1989, we don’t get credit for it but so what. I am, however, pissed that the NFL/EA contract eliminated all fair pro football competition in the video game market.
