the taking out of linux doesnt have a effect on the mass population of ps3 users thats y i think thy took it out without havin a huge backlash from the users and thy say its for security reasons. psn is free n the premium service is a option if i want the other feature thyer gonna add whatever thy will be if i so choose. if i choose not to upgrade i can still play online for free unlike 360 the party chat offline is cool but who want to lissen to their friends play online together the features on xbox360 are basically useless offline same as ps3 u cant use last fm or titter facebook m from what u guys say netflix my gold juss expired n im not goin to renew because im goin to play free on ps3

Well Said otherZonc. I was reading down this post seeing when someone was going to say it. You have to compare Apples to Apples. Typical Sony fanboy redirection tactic. They change the topic and bring in useless comparisons that are outside the argument just so they can try and make a point that holds no merit. We are talking about shooters, not platformers. HALO is the all time champ when it comes to FPS. HALO 3 offered more gameplay wise than Killzone 2. Sure Killzone looks great, nobody can say that it doesn’t. But It is not innovative and has brought nothing new to the genre. HALO 3 brought a whole slew of features and extra’s to make it one of the most played games online 3 years later after it’s release.
Sales do matter regardless of what people think. It’s the consumer that has the last vote what is worth their hard earned money. If they pass on Killzone 2 and choose HALO 3, then the consumer has voted with their wallets what is the better game for their money.
It’s typical of you to agree with such a biased viewpoint only to covet your agenda. I didn’t want to say it because im not even a fan of the game. I absolutely detest it but ummm what do you say to Modern Warfare 2? Apples to Apples it is the best selling FPS this generation on BOTH consoles. I can guarantee that our Halo/Microsoft lover boy “OtherZinc” would even dare say that sales make Modern Warefare 2 the BEST FPS or even the better FPS. Wake up! Both of you, your agendas are completely paper thin. That’s why no one takes both of you serious it’s because biased dung like this you both type up. Lifetime sales have MW2 (only on the 360) surpassing Halo 3 as the best 360 selling game to date. Go through the NPDs, Chart Tracks or what have you. Go look at the sales for March when they drop bet MW2 still present. By both of your narrow minded standards MW2 is the best FPS of all time because of sales. Yep sales. Now spin that… No one cares that Killzone 2 didn’t sell 10 million, at least i don’t. Only people like you who covert said sales as if they supplant your purchase of a game instead of the experience you have/had playing said game. Silly analogies like air jordans and kmart trax only further prove my point. And my mario comment was to show that sales DO NOT make a game better. It only means more people brought one more, there much to look with in sales such as history, brand loyalty, fan base etc. Where’s your marketing knowledge? If we are going by sales, I would stand by that Halo 3 is the better game, however MW2 has pretty much reached Halo3 total sales in a 1/3 of the time. Which one could argue is the better game. However we also have to note that Halo3 also sold most of it’s total sales at full price on an install base that was half the size of what it is now when MW2 was released. Point is, people decide what is worth their money. And going by the sales, MW2 and HALO3 are both top selling games that people choose to purchase over games like Killzone 2, or Resistance 1 and 2. Sales are the bottom line. You can pull reviews right left and center but at the end of the day, they are just opinions from the industry. Sales are the bottom line since it’s the MASSES that votes with their wallets what they feel is the best game for their hard earned money. And so yes, these are all FPS games, and thus are apples to apples. You bringing in MW2 only helps our arguments. You need to get that through your head.

Why didn’t you look at the last time that database was updated with sales of Modern Warfare 2? Are you looking to include the 2.271 million added just in NPD numbers from December 09 – February 10? And yes those are just the 360 numbers. So i ask AGAIN. Apples to Apples, same console, Modern Warfare 2 is the better game by your standards simply because it sold more.
It’s funny you just don’t get it, you support calling a game worse based on sales but than still try to neglect the fact that your beloved Halo 3 has been outsold on the same platform. It even surpassed the launch numbers that Halo 3 set. Stop with the erroneous claims of how people vote with their wallet. It’s not true, your blindly crediting a games integrity due to how many people buy it. That’s false, everyday people and normal consumers buy products based on many other things such as trends and word of mouth. Are you discrediting the fact that some people brought MW2 on the single fact that all of their friends did? Does that mean his/her wallet extends a vote for it being the greatest FPS of all time? It means nothing of the sort, in fact what are you to say to those who DON’T like the game but purchased it day one or even week one? Are they statistics in which your narrow view subjects them to be, just a vote from the wallet? No. Games can sell lots of units and those sales can be attributed to all sorts of things other than how Good or not the game is.

- GT P was $40 when released and is now between $20 and $30. If GTP was actually priced as a full game, the sales would have been half that. F2 is almost 4 million units and F3 is almost at 2.34. We can talk sales when the full version of GT5 comes out, until then don’t be stupid enough to use a $30 demo as a comparison to a full priced game regarding sales.

Yes I do feel that the MASSES have spoken and felt that MW2 is the better game. And It is a great game. But you are comparing 2 games that are relatively close in sales. A small difference of 1-2 million units sold to bring it down to which game is better is a great example of being narrow minded. Compare KZ2 to Halo3. Which is the topic of the conversation. You could argue that since MW2 and HALO3 are so close in total sales that both are the best FPS games released this gen on either console. I am not sure I understand your argument. Maybe because I am on a much higher level of intelligence and you can’t see that games that sell relatively close to each other are both comparable in greatness while games that have a significant difference in total sales are clearly not as liked.

I’m done, this is now pointless. The topic was not exclusively about Killzone 2 sales and Halo 3 sales. It was about sales meaning games are better. It is fact that Killzone 2 didn’t out sell Halo 3, who is arguing that? It was the fact that by it being outsold it automatically makes it a better game. That’s why i brought in Mario in the first place. That’s why Modern Warfare 2 was brought in, you can’t seem to wrap your head around that. No one is debating whether Halo outsold another game, but that sales don’t translate into stating something is better.

As for the Major Nelson hacking the ONLY mistake that dude made was sending people to a registered personal domain. Unless he is using someone else’s domain then he is completely unidentified. For a LONG time i didn’t own a Wii, frankly because the system had absolutely nothing i wanted to play. At least not remotely close enough to justify the purchase of a Wii for one game. Does that mean I didn’t accept motion controls? Now if we were going off of some type of survey or a collection of survey and gathered data than i submit to thee, since we’re not then stop with the bullshit. It’s not true.
Also this notion that you have to like ALL motion controller offerings is bull as well. You mean to tell me because i like the Wii mote/nunchuk that i HAVE to like Move or even Natal? Wrong. Everyone has preference, whether they want to admit it or not. Whether they realize it or not, subconsciously or otherwise. By nature and creatures of habit we all have preference and it’s easier to point things out that we’d rather not prefer when we favor something more. Such is the case with motion controls. I absolutely have no problem with someone liking Natal over Move and the Wii-mote because they don’t like the accuracy with those controllers or they like the level of interactivity Natal provides more. Or someone like Move over the Wii-mote because of better accuracy, feeling, response, etc. than fine so be it. How could you challenge someones preference? What if they didn’t care for motion control before but Move/Natal tech demos and showings thus far peak their interests? SO, it means nothing. Also people commonly have brand loyalty so when something new comes out for a brand they prefer then of course they’ll like it more. i.e every new DS model released after the original DS. i.e every new ipod release after the fourth with hardly nothing changing but size and space (nano, mini, shuffle). Call it silly all you want but thems the breaks.

twlight princess, dead space, re4,smash bros, metriod prime 3 are all great games on the wii. ur missin out on some great games. after playin re4 on the wiimote i didnt wanna play it on a controller again. i cant to play re5 on the move same goes for twilight princess. zelda games with motion control is the way to go its just to good to play that way and personally i think its better than a control. if games are done right motion controls are actually better to play than a regular cotroller
dead space = meh (360/PS3 version wayyy better)
smash bros = meh (fan of the 64 version, gamecube version was okay)
metroid prime 3 = AWESOME! Yes i loved all of the FPS metroid games released to date.
RE4 = meh (I already played the GC version why pick up the Wii one)
Twilight princess = Okay (It was okay, it had it’s moments but not something i wanted to buy a Wii for).
With the release of more titles i actually want to play was the real reason for me getting the console. No more Heroes 2, MadWorld, TvsC upcoming Mario Galaxy 2 and Metorid: other M.

Why? They get irritating really quick. Most people who listen to the WarZone check the web. Listening to these topics being debated live is too much. Listening again on a podcast after listening live can be plain boring!
3.c. Add a “Torrence-Vision” option to the podcast (if not live).
Why? The benefit of adding props, costumes, screen-shots, video replays… Visual cues are great and meaningful. Visual factors will help keep the show to a fixed agenda and will keep it tight. You’ll know your actions need purpose if you’re going to be watched. If you’re going to f-off for a piss during the HHG power hour, what makes you think we won’t?
3.d. Add music & audio cues.
Why? Who doesn’t like music? Audio cues are a good way of segregating shows. It’ll help keep people on topic and will help listeners know where they are in the show.
3.e. Look around and see what other people have done.
Why? Some formulas have not just lasted for years, but have been extremely popular – even on TV. Why? If the show actually finished earlier, e.g. 1hr, there would be more post-WarZone community chat, debate & people grouping together and going off to meet up for gaming sessions. The WarZone would become something like XBox Live where people can meet others to play or talk about games.
5.c. Publish gamertags for staff + crew.
Why? People who listen / watch the show will want to play games against these people and beat them. Staff can always create a new gamertag for the purposes of playing against WarZone fans if need be.

I have to say some of the suggestions I agree with and some I know are coming like the Staff+crew info and gamertags etc which is supposed to be a part of bitbag 4.0 along with other community features…..

I have to admit a lot of what HipHopGamer says can classified as pure rumor. If stated as such then no company no matter how big or small can threaten in any way with any legal response, regardless of what it said. The hiphopgamer power usually isn’t even an hour anymore but i agree an hour dedicated to HHG is a bit much. You’re right he has his own 1hr long show to which he can use for more in-depth details of his reporting.

You can’t use the movies 3D glasses for home 3D movies. I have already tried them. You also CAN’T remove the IMAX glasses as they have a security tag to them, the second you leave, an alarm goes off.
The special 3D glasses used for 3DTV use a special shutter type of technology. This allows for proper colour visuals on the TV. The 3D movies you watch on your Blu-ray player that comes with the Glasses use the standard Red Blue lenses, thus the colour is not true with what you are watching.
If you buy a 3DTV to watch Movies and TV shows, you NEED the Glasses which cost about $400.
