Doom 3 is the scariest game ever, imo.
Played Heavy Rain last night a few times: another overrated game on the way.
Its about time they shut down XBOX 1 servers, they kept them on long enough.
I’ll listen to #76 as I scan planets on Mass Effect 2.

- I don’t believe this is an overrated game…I believe it will be rated appropriately . HR is already starting to get some 6/10, 7/10 reviews. The Hype is dieing down.

I use Metacritic…where more than just a “few” sites review a game. As well as go into detail about a game. This allows me to get an idea of what the game is about and how it plays. The number is used as a scale, to give you a visual idea.
Only a fool would invest money into something without investigating it’s worth….like you apparently.
Like I said enjoy your small amount of games.
You might want to do some research. There are a shit load of games in the PS3 and 360 library that are 85+ in reviews averages. Keep investing in the shit games…I am sure with your support they will make those games better in the future.
The guy at the beginning of the show, when the PS3 yellow lights, you cant swap out your hard-drive to another PS3; it doesn’t work like the 360, you lose all of your PS3 files.

i don’t know how accurate HHG’s info on Ninja Gaiden 3 is, but i hope he’s wrong on every account. nothing against HHG lol, but i didn’t like a single possible change that he mentioned. i love Ninja Gaiden (been playing it since the NES days), and i don’t want a single thing to change for the 3D Ninja Gaiden games as far as how they approach making them.
same same… new Graphics and new badguys and AI = Good

That is exactly what I was thinking listening to the show on my way home! Its bad enough Itagaki doesn’t work for Team Ninja, but every single change HipHop talked about would drive me Far Far Far away from Ninja Gaiden!
Also, to me a Hack & Slash is a game you dont have to think or have any skill to beat or play; Ninja Gaiden will stomp your ass if you try to Hack you way to a victory in Ninja Gaiden.
Ninja Gaiden is my 2nd favorite franchise, its a shame they’re about to kill greatness! And, the damn story is great, The Dragon Lineage is the ****!

I hate to be the burden of bad news but Heavy Rain is a niche title. Just like Little Big Planet. The casual market will not pick up and play Heavy Rain. It is just not enticing enough for them. This game will only cater to the Hard Core market. And unfortunately right now there is just too many other great titles that hardcore gamers are looking forward too.
Heavy Rain’s main hurdles are:
It’s a rated M title so it’s limiting it’s possible user base.
It’s exclusive to the PS3 where the highest selling exclusive is MGS4 at just over 5 million. Where LBP, the 2nd highest PS3 exclusive for the casual market is at 3 million after almost 2 years of it being available on the market.
It’s primarily a QTE…(Don’t give me any BS that it’s not or I don’t know what i am talking about). Where games like Dragon’s Lair, Space Ace, GoW etc have major exciting scenes that use QTE’s, Heavy Rain uses them to take a shower or a piss, buy a balloon or tell your kid to study….
Heavy Rain is a different concept to gaming, but don’t put it up with games that did something to help innovate the progress of videogames. Heavy Rain is an interactive movie. That’s all. Had this game been made into a Movie…It would probably generate more revenue than what it will do as a videogame.

Heavy Rain looks boring as fuck. just one long ass cutscene with QTE’s littered throughout.
and i have no problem with long cutscenes; MGS4 is one of my all-time favorite games, and i never skip the cutscenes.
but we’re talking about video GAMES. where’s the gameplay in Heavy Rain? i’m not trying to do boring ass shit like buying balloons and cooking breakfast. when it comes down to it, the gameplay looks like crap. why would i want to play a game where i can do stuff in it that i can do in my everyday life?
and i don’t buy the “it’s art” type of stuff either. Flower was an example of a video game being artistic, and it was actually very fun (in my opinion) to PLAY.
so yeah….i’ll probably be passing on Heavy Rain.

Scott Forstall does a great job of selling it and I have to say I’m really feeling this ad as more software is shown! It’ll definitely be great for surfing, doing e-mail & reading while just lounging around… No more desk, step out of the office and have all this power in your lap.
I think this is going to be huge.
My kids would love it. They couldn’t care less about multitasking when they can read digital books and do everything they do now on their Ipod touch. I am probably going to wait another year and see what they will add in a newer model and wait for the price to drop.
