This was my first Warzone that I went to live and it definitly didn’t disappoint. Warzones like this are what gonna keep me coming back to every live show.
Ill be the 1st to say HHG got owned. I dont know a whole lot about PC Gaming so I keep my mouth shut. Maybe others should try my technique. Also HHG what is your steam account?

Guess you must be a fan of cheesy stories and broken online. But then the contradict yourself by liking a game like mass effect which is a deep story.
Don’t knock what Gears of War has accomplished. It’s a total “guys” game. Like guy flicks. Only a “real” guy would like Gears. It gives exactly what it is suppose to, blood and testosterone. Just like the Die Hard movies, Lord of the Rings, Aliens, Predator etc. Guy games, guy movies. I think Uncharted 2 is a great game. I played the shit out of it, but I don’t think Uncharted 2 holds a candle to Mass Effect 2. I think Mass Effect 2 is perfect. The gameplay is a huge improvement over the first game. The cover system works great. The gun play is much more fluid, and biotic powers are way more fun. I love that in Mass Effect 2 you don’t have to bring up the menu wheel to use one of your powers. I also love that they eliminated the Mako. The Mako was fucking lame. I was so happy to see that gone. Another great improvement over the first game is how you now research or buy upgrades for your weapons, armor, and the Normandy. It works so well, and it completely eliminates the pain in ass inventory management from the first game. I thought managing your inventory was very tedious and annoying in Mass Effect and it’s been completely fixed for the sequel. Everything about Mass Effect 2 is epic. I can’t get enough of this game. Absolutely fantastic.
Agreed on all points, however, I felt that the game was too short, IMO. It only took me 30 hours to beat with everything maxed (equipment, loyalties, etc), all side missions completed and all planets scanned. Now all I can do is wait for the DLC…
I don’t look at the game being too short. This game just opened up a can of whoop ass when it comes to replayability. This game has gamers like myself playing through MS 1 just to see what different story angles and characters I will be able to see in MS 2. That doesn’t even count the different character classes to play with. So the 30 hours for you turns in to 60 hours for me between both games.
As I play as a good Shepard I know I am going to get to go to Mass Effect 1 and replay the game from the start as a good Shepard with different options and THEN go back through it all again and play as a bad Shepard and get a totally different experience I got playing the other way. I get to do that and wait on more DLC to drop lol.
I have finished my first play through with my imported Vanguard character and I went over 20 hours. So no it’s not a short game. I didn’t even do all the side quests or mined every planet.
The game is EPIC on a galactic scale. However i do have 1 gripe with the game. I liked the overheating of the guns in ME1 over the clips in ME2. I know that they changed it to give a more traditional shooter feel, but it just doesn’t make sense to me that with all that available tech, the universe downgraded their weapons from over heating to using clips which amazingly are universal to all guns so every clip fits into every gun.
The ending is AWESOME. And there are multiple endings depending on the choices you made with your character. The game is a 10/10 to me.
So I guess I should start playing my part 1 so I can play part 2.

Here is my take on Mass Effect 2 Vs. Uncharted 2
I am going to use the actor Harrison Ford to assist me in this. Please note this is ONLY a personal opinion.
Harrison Ford has been in 2 of the top franchises in movie history.
Can you guess what 2 franchises those are? Indiana Jones and Star Wars.
Do you see where I am going with this so far?
Now, both franchises are great. Just like Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2.
Now even though both Indiana Jones and Star Wars are great franchises and I love them both, I tend to lean more towards Star Wars as I just personally like like Si-Fi over adventure. But both are my favorite movie franchises, but yet completely different.
In perspective of Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2, I think they are both absolutely great, but because Mass Effect puts itself in an Si-Fi element, I lean more to that type of story.
But to say one game is better than the other based on small technicalities like graphics, its very tough as they both look great. When you look at the universe in ME2, it just blows your mind. Both games are different genre’s and completely different stories. I just like the story better in Mass Effect 2 and the characters better because it’s a Si-Fi universe.
So while I like Star Wars over Indiana Jones, others will like Indiana Jones over Star Wars. Harrison Ford made the characters in both those franchise monumental…it just all comes down to personal preference to what genre/story you like better. But both are great franchises.

Wow HHG really took a beating in this weeks warzone, and I can’t help but think that he deserved it, but I doubt this will stop him from talking about the end of PC gaming.
John Shaw was right. Even when pc gaming was at the height of its power you would still never see a pc in a game store, atleast in the uk. If you wanted a pc you would go to a computer electronics store if you wanted a games console you go to your local games store. I remeber when me and my dad used to go to computer fairs inorder to find cheap parts. I could not understand why hip hop made this point, most people with knowlege of pc gaming would know this. It will interesting to see how the sales of Star Craft 2 and the new WOW expanision go, lol if they outsell the exclusives on the ps3 HHG will have to eat his words and say on the warzone that the ps3 is in bigger trouble than pc gaming.
Also I cannot understand why you cannot give ME2 its credit, might have something do with it not being on the ps3. I loved uncharted 2 last year but this does not stop me from liking another game and if you do not play it you will really be missing out. Comparing the 2 games is like comparing Indiana jones and the original star wars trilogy imo both great games offering an epic experience.
From what I have seen of MAG it still looks like an average game, with MW2 and Battlefield BC2 I can see this game really struggling.
Here’s an interesting thought, do you think that the ps3 is saturated with too many exclusive fps games? Resistance, Killzone and Mag all seem to be competing for the same market share, where as on the Xbox there is only really Halo. What are your opinions?
I say no there isn’t too many FPS games because all of these games were pretty spaced out and they all offered different play styles…. I just don’t think PS3 is really the best place for FPS games…. thats more of an Xbox market… but that is changing more and more… especially with people owning multiple systems.
Even though the exclusive fps games on the ps3 are spread out, no individual game seems to blow up and become a must have game on the ps3. COD is probably the reason for this, but I think that If sony concentrated their resources on one or two fps games, they would be more successful. I would love to see sony do a western RPG instead of just another FPS.
Yeah I also do think their online plays a big roll in this as well… they are starting to learn and catch up but it still isn’t the preferred online for a lot of people…..
One example would be playn bfbc2 demo on both… with squads of only 4 players… the party chat works really well since you can have 8 people… 2 full squads in a party chatting… if needed…..
But yeah I do agree they should try to focus more on one.

I am on your side with this. However not to the extent that you are taking it. I think you need to get your point across in a less direct manner.
Instead of saying PC gaming is dead, extinct or basically dieing. Maybe you should address it as lets say….”Are PC gamers turning to consoles as their new Hard core fix?” or “PC gamers turning to consoles to increase their gaming opportunities”. This allows for more of a open topic rather than a direct closed conversation. This allows you to use the arguments that you have, which are good arguments, but also isn’t a direct statement that can be countered so easily with theirs. Their argument is games are still coming out on PC thus PC is not dead. And their counter arguments will ALWAYS trump your argument of PC gaming is dead…BUT if you tweak your argument…you can always win the console Vs. PC argument.

Excluding Mass Effect series lol. All other games offer just DLC for the life extension while Mass Effect successfully offers both DLC and the ability to change your game playing both. Everyone always ask should I play Halo 1 or Uncharted 1 to grasp the story aspect of a game to enjoy it better. I would recommend yes on that aspect. But I highly recommend it on Mass Effect because it actually has an affect on what you do in the second game. I haven’t beaten Mass Effect 2 yet and I started from an existing save file from the first and not remember all the small or large decisions I made makes me want to replay it again and again to replay both.
This is just my opinion but this series is EPIC, not just this game when you actually play both and this really has alot of replayability.
I mean look at Steam and D2D.
Both have Mass Effect 1 reselling again on the PC last week. The story, not graphics are what is pushing those sales.

Decent warzone, on the note of graphics between ME2 and UC2. When you take into account the sheer scope of ME2 and the fact that the graphics are about on par (some bits better, some worse) with UC2 is a great technical achievement on Bioware’s part. Considering that most RPG’s have typically bland texture quality (design is typically good), ME 2 breaks away from this and provides some of the most detailed environments,characters and polish witnessed within a game.
Also, the dude talking to HipHop about not respecting his opinion when he likes Home was funny.
