Xbox Live vs PSN has always been an interesting argument but Sony always lose this debate because of missing features. Although Sony is making a strong comeback to match Xbox Live there’s some things that PSN have the Xbox Live is missing as well and that’s the growth of the community.
Playstation 3 allows for a much bigger community for online gaming which can change the fun, and overall different experience you can have online because of the diversity of people you encounter. Xbox Live does a good job but Sony has done a great job, find out more below.

Man im through, we know good and goddamn well that psn (on PS3) doesnt have more unique users than xbox, so stop the bullshit! Im so sick and tired of these stagnant-fanboyish articles that do nothing but highlight stupidity and personal beliefs that any sane human, would know is not true.
First off, Psn consist of PS3, PSP,and their official site. The playstation 3 accounts are way over-blown. Mostly, all hardcore gamers have at least 2 accounts for region specific demos and betas. Almost everyone on my friends list (about 70) have at least 2 accounts (no bullshit). Hiphop you yourself alone have 17 accounts, i have 4, so we make up 21 ACCOUNTS!
Not only are the PS3 accounts way over-blown, but the psn totals both fucking psp and official site numbers! Together the ps3 and psp have 80 million hardware out their sold ( rounding up on vgchartz)! Not to mention the millions signed up on their site, after underground went away whoever didnt have a psn but was forced to create one when joining the official playstation site! So even though psn has more accounts than live crossing from ps3, psp, and official site- we know good and god damn well that when comparing ps3’s psn to live who has the most users, and by far the better community!!!!!!
You bring up a good point about the PSN accounts, but here’s something to ponder:
If you can’t accurately count people on the PSN because of multiple accounts, how can you call the overall 360 count accurate since multiple 360’s were re-issued/re-purchased?
Your talking about CONSOLES vs ACCOUNTS. Your gamertag is not married to your console when it goes out. MS doesn’t count a new acct because a new 360 was purchased or reissued if t hat gamertag already existed. I have had Live since 2002 with no breakage. I have 3 360s and move my profile around on each on of them. Bottom line, the acct is counted when you purchase an intitial gold acct. Has nothing to with a console being lost unless you close your acct and create a new one is the only scenario close to what you said.

LOL! Ok you took a warzone conversation and ran with it and came up with this? I have both systems and I prefer the psn community and ps3 console. But that doesn’t make me think that the psn community is greater than the xbox. I got MW2 for both systems and the xbox off the bat had more people talking since the console has a mic included while on the ps3 it has noticeably less mics since you have to buy your own.
Xbox does have much better community features but that does not necessarily make a good community. Look at the Socom community! even though it got shat on they are still loyal to their game no matter how broken it is. But overall the xbox does had a bigger community to meet and chat with people with.
Look at all the fan sites they are mostly for xbox owners or check out the montages on youtube of games… it is almost always xbox.
But like I said I just prefer my ps3 because I know people in real life on there so when I go to school me and my friend could talk about MW2 all day.
Since friends follow friends, and there are more people on xbox = more friends with friends.

While I’ll agree that Xbox Live is better in certain ways, PSN isn’t bad by any stretch of the imagination. The sheer amount of free stuff I use via PSN on a daily basis is much more than I could get from Live, I use VidZone and Home (which I personally enjoy, even if many of you may disagree) frequently. EVERYBODY NEEDS TO STOP BEING HYPERBOLIC.

Well when I turn on my PS3, I’m taken to the “What’s New” bar. Which shows me news, what’s new to the PS Store and what I’ve played lately (giving me the option to jump straight into one of those 3 games). I guess you’ve just forgotten what “settings” means, lol.
As for the Store, in my opinion it looks hot (but that’s just my opinion), it couldn’t be easier to use, and there’s a TON of content on there (loads of movies, TV shows, a massive game library).

Matchmaking is still one of the main features to getting friends as HOME is simply an OPTION and not how you make it out to be like as if it “smashes” other abilities to getting friends.
If anything I hold more weight peoplge adding friends more through game forums or websites like the Bitbag than than HOME itself.

Who sits up doing this all the time on the 360? I have the same family and friends that have been on Live since 2002 and 2005. Why would I want 800 people as a friends list on any console when I have the ability to simply just matchmake and game online. I don’t need a following.

No you haven’t “smashed” anyone. All you did was make a vid about features of each console and simply gave your OPINION that PSN is better. You ignore alot of other “Facts” becuase it doesn’t FIT your OPINION.
For someone who has made clear you don’t spend much time on Live vs PSN it is expected you might think that.

I don’t see that consistency in HOME or PSN compared to LIVE.
I can go on and one just like you can about PSN. The fact remains both communities approach it different on each console and claiming one is better than another at the end of the day doesn’t make a damn difference especially being a Dual owner. Because I gurantee that 800 people you claim to be able to get your not going to play with in one day or even 1 month.
Having 800 friends on a list doens’t prove anything about a community, it just shows a number. USERS on the Playstation Network doesn’t mean those are all PS3 users. Come to think of it, who the hell wants to spend time sitting around in a fake HOME when they spent money on the console just to game. That is HOME biggest problem of all is taking you full circle. HOME is no different than coming to the BITBAG and adding a someone looking for a game. Either way I can spend my time just matchmaking and avoid both the site and HOME and find friends alot faster. That is the problem the PS3 has overall besides just HOME is the issues of intergration and standards as far as features across the system. Sony fucked up leaving it up to developers instead of doing something similar like Live that gives developers and gamers the features that are there no matter what game or link you click on vs hoping a game on the PS3 has a feature so it can be used as a bullet point that this game has cross game chat.

Great reply to HipHop hypocrite. That guy has no idea what he is talking about. You can tell he got his panties in a bunch when he read the title of the article about xbox community being heads and shoulders above PSN. However i think your reply would have been better used if you had clicked the REPLY button on this topic. This way he would have been able to read it rather than have to scroll down to find it…which i don’t think he did, thus is going to continue to be ignorant on many many PRO sony articles and talk complete BS regarding the 360.
What I love about xbox which I don’t know if psn does is you can pull up a tab with all the players on the servers your were on and can add them or message and chat with them.

In the end, it really doesn’t matter.
The PS3/PSN has all of the “potential” in the world, but it’s up to Sony to realize that potential, and they consistently fail or drag their feet on it.
XBL has it all, except that to use these features as it was made to be used requires a fully functioning 360, or the desire to risk damaging your 360 to use these features, and Microsoft has yet to bring out a version of the 360 that has an acceptable failure rate.
They both have pluses, but they are both woefully under equipped for the tasks they are trying to accomplish; although if I were asked which one has the better chance to fulfill their goals, I would say Sony ONLY because they have made noticeable strides on the PSN, home, and the PS3’s hardware. I cannot say with an honest heart that Microsoft did the same thing for their hardware given the news and the results I’ve seen myself.
