Basically, the title says it all. I went down to my Gamestop tonight to pick up Assassin’s Creed 2 at midnight. I came home popped it open and saw a slip saying “Free Exclusive Offer” for Splinter Cell: Conviction. I assumed that this was the demo HipHopGamer was talking about earlier this week. Well, it isn’t. You go to a website, sign up for some stuff, and all you get are ringtones/a wallpaper. Don’t expect something like what we saw back in the day with Zone of the Enders and the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo. Remember those days? When developers gave you something really cool like a demo. Anyway, you can’t blame Ubisoft because they never officially came out and said it. We’ll just have to wait till 2010 to get our Sam Fisher fix. On the bright note, so far so good from what I’ve played of Assassin’s Creed 2

it was obvious that there wouldn’t be a demo … AC2 is multiplat … SCC haven’t officially been reveal for PS3. They would have had to either screw over their PS3 supporters, or, allow this to be the revelation of the ps3 version (which just would not have made sense in terms of how companies operate with announcements)
Them releasing a demo with a multi-plat game that is platform exclusive has absolutely nothing to do with screwing over PS3 supporters or revealing a ps3 version of SC:C. I’m pretty sure it’s been done before. I mean if they can advertise special MW2 and RE5 console specific offerings i don’t see why a demo would be any different. I think this rumor was shot before it even was confirmed just because of the way Ubisoft has been marketing it and the partnership with Sony.

It’s okay let the little douches troll over there. It’s not like he guaranteed it or anything. He put it out there as a rumor it just so happens it wasn’t completely accurate. He’s been spot on with so many other rumors that have happened to come true that they don’t give him credit for. You know how it is, highlight the negatives not the positives….
