I’ve been playing a whole lot of Demon’s Souls since it launched last week and I agree with all of the reviewers out there. This game is unforgivingly hard as hell. That being said, the game is so unique in gameplay and it’s online connectivity, you would be short changing your self if you own a PS3 and/or your a western role playing gamer.
I am surprised at how many great reviews of DS (Demon’s Souls) their are out on the net, considering the brutal difficulty of the game. I would of thought that not many people would want to recommend it to friends. Even I’ve been nervous explaining the unique online features and functions along with it’s difficulty level.
But, to give you a sense of how I feel about the game I can easily admit that when I’m in the game world I get immersed into the game unlike any other RPG on the market. From the excellent pin point accurate control scheme, beautiful ambient sound and music plus the ability to help out other gamers with in the games world, you can rest assured that your going to get a type of a game that needs to be played and seen by your own eyes.
Even though I didn’t make this post to get into the games visuals, sounds, or gameplay for you. I couldn’t help myself but give you my two cents on this must have Playstation 3 title. Now onto the reason for this post. Atlus just sent out word that it will be shipping out more copies of the game to retailers across the U.S. since the demand has been overwhelming across all major retail outlets. To tell you the truth, even some of my Gamestop insiders can’t get a copy of the game yet, they didn’t think it would be hard to get the game so they didn’t pre-order Demon’s Souls.
The Presser:
ATLUS SUMMONS MORE COPIES OF DEMON’S SOULS INTO STORES ACROSS NORTH AMERICA; DELUXE EDITION SOLD OUT, OFFICIALLY DISCONTINUED

"We’re thrilled at the level of interest and acclaim gamers are showing for Demon’s Souls, one of the best reviewed games of the year and one of the highest-rated role-playing games of all time," stated Aram Jabbari, Manager of PR and Sales for Atlus. "We’re working quickly to get more copies of the game out onto store shelves. We thank fans for supporting a daring, innovative product, and we ask interested gamers to be patient as stock is replenished."
The publisher also announced that the game’s Deluxe Edition, which featured a 160-page strategy guide and collectible embossed slipcase, is now considered out of print in North America and will not be remanufactured.
"While the now discontinued Deluxe Edition of Demon’s Souls was the only way to obtain the game’s official strategy guide, the title already benefits from an in-game messaging system, a tremendous online community, and dozens of online resources for players who are finding the game to be a bit challenging."
Among those online resources is the official Demon’s Souls wiki (LINK), which offers a central location for community members to share what they’ve learned about the surprises that await in the Kingdom of Boletaria. As more and more people discover the game, the community-driven assistance tools expand in quality and breadth, ensuring that while gamers are tested during their adventures, they never have to be frustrated.
"Mr. Jabbari," interrupted a frantic worker. "The game-making engines… They just can’t take much more of this! They’re going to blow," cried the man in a thick Scottish accent before turning about and returning to the game-making furnaces, soon followed by Jabbari.
Demon’s Souls is out now for PlayStation 3 system and retails with an MSRP of $59.99. For more information, visit the game’s official website (LINK).

it’s about time, atlus. it’s been a week and i still don’t have this game.
I’ve gotten to a point in the game where my character is like a walking tank, lol! There’s very little need for the Thief’s Ring for me ;D
This game deserves to be a candidate for the GOTY awards.
Maybe I need to give Demon’s Souls another try. It just didn’t do anything for me, but I admit I only played for about 30 minutes (if I’m not enticed to keep playing after 30 min. I’m done).
I need to try Batman again as well.
im honestly on the fence about this game if only the would release a demo.
its amazing this is quite a sleeper hit atlus didnt expect amazing sales and 100k first week according 2 vg charts. http://www.vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=31689®ion=All crazy stuff.
Drakol is right!
i am at level 33. i can defeat everything on the first three/four worlds levels easily. i think most people should just grind it out until their players are maxed up. it a long process but it is worth it. i just have my halbre/arrows maxed up. i am working on getting my second iron weapon maxed up. a coulpe of enemies are dual weilding and are causing max damage on me. lol the bottom line is the game is a grind!!!!
