Microsoft was smart to recieve the GTA4 expansion episodes considering the brand and the fanbase that GTA has but it seems that Sony maybe a little bit smarter in this situation. As powerful Grand Theft Auto is to this industry Sony could’ve had the same opportunity for expanded episodes but instead they chose what seems to be a better route and that’s having a new IP, from the GTA creators.
Sony and Rockstar has had an incredible run on the PS2 and moving on to the next generation it’s Rockstars turn to show and prove that they also can take advantage of the more powerful system and turn a major profit. Killzone 2 and Uncharted amongst other games require alot of talent, but money is the key to letting that talent shine.

Don’t have time to watch the show right now…. but ill break it down like this… nobody knows what the terms of the 50 million exactly were… there are also rumors that it was just a loan for Rockstar to work on their game and MS would get their money back….
There are too many rumors and speculation floating around to just assume what the whole deal with this money thing truly was.
I’m with OOG. And you’re also nuts if you think Rockstar is making a PS3 exclusive for free just because they like Sony. Sony foots the marketing bills on a lot of their exclusives/timed exclusives(which can end up being as much as development costs), so I wouldn’t be surprised to see that.
