There’s no question that the Warzone IRC channel is out of control. Anyone who has a serious point to make or question to ask just gets ignored or cast away by a scrolling screen of shit and caps spam (usually by the same people).
I’m based in the UK and stay up (like Swiff etc) all night to listen live and read/be involved in the Warzone chat because I enjoy the show and it’s a better experience live. The problem is that if the IRC is just bullshit then there’s no point to join live and stay up, might as well just listen to a download. Things get ruined for everyone else who isn’t constantly screaming for attention.
Torrence imo has been way too lenient and accommodating in letting this crap carry on in the channel. Behaviour like that would result in permabans after the 2nd/3rd offence in most channels. Imo to preserve the channel/website integrity issue a warning and then bring out the ban hammer and bring it down hard, no questions asked.

Oh and if you have an iPod Touch / iPhone, get on the iTunes store and check out a puzzle game called “Mixt” by Uprising Games. I have been playing it a fair bit recently on my travels. I’d rate it in my top 10 of puzzle games somewhere in behind Tetris, Bejeweled 2 & Puzzle Bobble. It is very well suited to touch screen controls and worth a pop at such a low price…

great show this week, the rants were pretty funny but i could understand how you were feeling…
i was pretty impressed by operation flashpoint. the game looks great, though it seems like it was made to be played with a group of friends in order to get the full experience out of it. i lol’d hard when spenny started spamming the medic button towards the end of the mission and when your teammate (not sure if it was a cpu or not) dropped dead right in front of you as you were getting ready to heal him. if i were to pick up the game it would most likely be for the pc so i could line up my shots more accurately but i could see more people i know playing on the 360……
