I am sorry but you put yourself out there from the get go of this video looking like a complete dumbass. EDTV(ENHANCED DEFENITION TELEVISION) can only DISPLAY 480p. It will not(don't lose focus now) It will not display any resolution HIGHER than 480p. Here is the good part that you are clearly confused about. It can RECIEVE(key word here) a signal higher than 480p but it cannot DISPLAY it. Even a analog tv can recieve a signal higher than what it displays. Seriously you have made yourself look like a complate idiot and all this time you bring up continues discussion about somthing you CLEARLY do not understand and you make that apparent each time you bring it up. What is worse you made a video of it.
Again. The EDTV can recieve any signal into the display that is broadcast but it cannot DISPLAY that signal becuase the max resolution the display allows is only 480p.

My mom has a 720p Sony that will say "1080p" when you send a 1080p signal to it. It won't display 1080p though.
@sixampfuze EDtv can't do 1080i either because you need to be able to display 540 even and odd lines per field to do 1080i.
i worded it wrong i didnt mean the tv can display in 1080i but it might say it is. My 720p max tv on certain sources says 1080p but its not actually displaying in 1080p

It can take the 1080i signal and decode and down covert the image, a little more google searching can also prove the point….now without a hdtv next to it you may not notice the difference but it wont be a pure 1080i image and you can see this by putting a real 1080i tv next to it for comparisons sake…..
You saying your edtv can play hdtv is like me saying a low end 720p/1080i lcd can play 1080p….. its all about the decoding inside…. but it isnt truly that resoultion only a decoded image of that signal……sorry end of story.

your tv takes the 1080i signal and jsut TRIES to emulate the resolution but it cant, since its 480p only. so your tv says 1080i because its reading the incoming signal
i just got my slim yesterday and my 37" 720p hd tv in the ps3 says i can do 1080p. I wont see 1080p and my tv cant do 1080p but the ps3 can do 1080p. EDTV does 480P and its possible in widescreen to do 1080I but 1080I is just like 540P which is "subhd"

lol…this constant back and forth debate is funny…hope there's some sort of epic conclusion to it! The TMNT review wasn't bad…I personally gave the game an 8.0, but that's largely due to the fact that I'm an 80's baby and I'm living off the nostalgic factor…realistically the game is about a 7.0…great graphical update, but it would've been cool to see some more enhancements.

Totally agreed. It similar to the ghostbuster game. People who have nostaglia for TMNt will buy this game and give it a good review. Me being a obsessed fan of them in the 90s thought the game was cool. I wish they would have priced the game cheaper than 10.
