Yesterday Sega announced an all new 2D Sonic game in HD under the codename “Needlemouse”. Just this morning a teaser trailer was posted on Sega’s website to hype up fans even more. Could this be the fallen hedgehog’s return to glory? Check out the trailer below.
Look i would love to see everyones favorite hedgehog return to glory but to me after the first Sonic advenure on the dreamcast the series went downhill. Hopefully they return to the core essentials of what made sonic, sonic 2, sonic 3, sonic & knuckles and Sonic CD so well recieved. I still feel enough people don't give respect to Sonic CD which to me is one of the best sonic games ever made… Hopefully sega can achieve what Nintendo has and that is make their once larger than them mascot relevant again.
I haven't played a new Sonic games since Sonic Adevnture on DC. I still play the Genesis ganes though.

I know right! Certainly don't want to get my hopes to high and they deliver a 2D sonic but they go all crazy on us like they did with shadow and give him guns or something…
i would most like to see them do what Capcom did with Mega Man 9 and make it completely retro. even the graphics and music.
sure, a modernized 2d Sonic would be cool, but a completely old school style new Sonic would be the ultimate win.
It Certainly sounds retro with the sounds they put in the trailer… Ah man seriously Sonic had some of the dopest music back then…

finally sega is doin sum worth buyin as far as da sonic franchise goes…i wanted em 2 go bac 2 sonic2d for sooo long now…i think sega shud stick 2 makin sonic2d 4 now on…ill buy evry one of em
