tor you really could talk some shit at times. first of all, your argument is weak, just because there isn't a formal term for a resolution(x) of 525<x<720 doesn't mean that the term sub-HD is invalid, sub means under, therefore it is a fitting term since 600p is certainly below that which is considered HD(720P). i totally agree with hiphop in saying that games rendered in 600p, 620p or 640p are not HD, they're upscaled to 720p and 1080p, like COD4, halo3, and many many more.

anyways, on a more pleasant note. good job with the davis weeklies, although i do find that they're getting shorter and shorter in duration.
if Sub-HD is below HD and you need an HDTV to view 600p content, then how is 600p not HD? 600p is NOT ED, only 480p is ED. Wouldn't 480p be sub-HD by your definition? Come on JMD you are smarter than that. Forget about the upscale. They are only upscaled to fit the tv screen because HDTV's, unlike computer monitors, can only display in 3 resolutions. So again, how is 600p not HD? Plug a computer into your tv and change the resolution to 800×600 and tell me if you can see it. Then plug it into an HDTV and tell me if you can see it. Then answer the question, how is 600p not HD? One more thing to chew on. If 600p is sub-HD because you claim it's "under" HD, then what is it compared to ED resolution, super-ED?

(i know i put 525 before, sue me.:) 576 is for us over here in the UK(pal), and 480p is for you yanks(NTSC)

if a game can look and run like cod4 and be at 600p and then upscaled wow ,cod4 imo is still one of the nicest looking games out there those levels when your the u.s marine are very realistic.it puts alot of newer games to shame.so for me as long as the games looks and run smooth im not to worried with resolution,i really think people spend to much time on the net reading fucked articles on resolution,my consoles better that yours,this games looks better than that game bullshit,instead of spending hours reading rubbish articles and comments turn on your console and play.speaking of which

Look i have to agree with Torrence. At first i was with the idea of just letting the term sub HD pass as just a term nothing serious. But think about it, just for a second. Coining sub HD is like saying something is Sub boiling point temperature. Sub HD would infer resolutions below HD, if 600p is HD then it cannot be sub HD.
Great interview Tor about PS 0 damn i would love to see sega bring that franchise back to the consoles and even PC as an MMO….
