In PAL territories the nintendo Wii is capable of 576i so does that mean the Wii is a HD system as it exceeds 525(PAL standard) lines of resolution?

They didn’t change the engine. The White engine(which is now called Crystal Tools) is a PC ENGINE that was designed for ALL consoles(including the WII)

this tordavis guy is an idiot… dude 720 vertical lines of resolution is the standard and what we call High Definition. 600p, although higher than 480i/p, is not considered HD. This guy always thinks he knows everything, but there is alot of crap he’s wrong about especially this one. What he doesn’t understand is that the industry has defined HD as anything equal to or above 1280*720. this is how the term is defined, point blank period.
there is no term “Sub-HD” which is why that resolution is considered HD, until the HD comittee makes that term, it will always be considered “HD”.

Nope, wrong! The industry has defined TV resolutions of 720p, 1080i and 1080p. Those are HDTV standards. What qualifies as high definition is anything higher than 480p/525i. I also made a correction above. I don’t think I know everything. Where did you get that idea?
nope, wrong! 480i=standard, 480p=progressive/edtv… 720p and above is High Definition. Therefore, Tordavis, anything from 480p through 719p is ENHANCED DEFINITION TELEVISION per NTSC standards. This is how it is defined. If I set my PC at 1200 * 600 this is not High Definition as defined by the NTSC. Though it looks better than 480p, this does not make it HD. yes they could have said that 600p is considered HD like in the PAL territories, but they didn’t. They said 1024*720, 1280*720, and 1366*768 is HD. 1024 * 600 is EDTV per NTSC Standards. So please put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Resolutions above 720p have existed for years on PC monitors, but no-one used the term high definition, at least not until the television industry started to make screens at higher resolutions. Thus they coined the term “high definition” which means monitors above 720 lines of vertical resolution. To paraphrase for the simple minded, the term High Definition was INVENTED to promote HDTV.
furthermore, the term “high def” was never used to describe HIGH RES pc monitors. It was invented to promote Televisions that have a certain resolution. Tired of repeating myself to a guy that supposedly knows about this crap but actually has no idea what he’s talking about.

As far as the Champions Online section there has been some complaints about connecting to the servers but to my knowledge there is no set time in which you must play the game. I didn't participate in the Beta but i have friends who have and they didn't acknowledge a set time to connect to the servers either.

one of the people wasnt too sure about the 360 live stage demo and said it was japanese, but if you go rewatch it on youtube everything is in english, now if you look up on youtube the final fantasy 13 ps3 demo you will see that it was in japanese only. From that research i would have to say it really was a snip it from and american version of the demo running on 360. oh and there was a LB(left bumper) icon above the ingame battle menu next to the word COM.
