On my last day of internet (today) I have been scouring the internet for goodies to download and save to my HDD.
So while downloading every major podcast and other goodies I listened to VG247’s Podcast and came across the news that Capcom has a few projects in the pipe that are being lead on the PC…!
for those of you that know me, this put a huge smile on my face and a warm feeling in my PC gaming soul.
I normally wouldn’t post a link to another site, but this is news that has to get out IMO.
Capcom – “We do have a couple of products in development which are PC-lead, that are not announced yet,†he said. “That doesn’t mean that that content isn’t also going to show up on console, because it will.
“But the pedigree of the team and the primary focus of the design is around the PC, and the largest forecast is on PC for at least one of these projects.
“They’re projects that we’re really excited about: I wish I could say more, but I can’t right now.â€
Here’s the link to the podcast.

only an uninformed @$$#01£ would say and maintain that pc gaming as a whole will die, it’s just evolving, but i would agree that piracy is surely crippling it. i think that steam will become the main form of distribution for pc games.
hey social, you spelt “DYING” wrong.
BTW here’s a PAX uncharted2 gameplay vid that will knock your socks off, well at least it knocked mine off.

Good thing ,Capcom keep them coming
Not to be a dick, but yes you spelled dying wrong. Also PC gaming is never going to go away. To put it simply, to a large extent the global market does most of their gaming on a PC. China, Korea, and a good part of most of Europe does as well.
Gentleman,
PC Gaming is not dead. I agree with that statement. However, PC Gaming is no longer HARDCORE. PC Gaming is more like Wii gaming and less like hardcore PS3/360 gaming. Casual gamers make up 99% of PC gaming. Just walk the isles of your local retailer (i.e. Best Buy) to see that for yourself. Tons of the $9 games line the shelves, while the serious games are shrinking in quantity with each passing year. You can thank piracy and rise of console dominance for that.
All the noble pirates who so self-righteously stole developers/programmers/publishers hard work under the communist delusion of “everything should be free”. Funny that mentality. What a wonderful way to mask the fact that you are stealing software. Plain and simple. And how ironic that those individuals that stole software year after year, now bemoan the fact that the PC gaming industry is in decline! Look in the mirror, pirate, if you are looking for the cause. Time to “…pull the log from thine own eye…”, before you blame everyone else.
If the owner of the The360Bitbag.com has EVER downloaded one piece of pirate software (MP3, MP4, game, app, etc), how would he feel if others took his revenue from the annoying and eyesore advertisements that he has on this website. I mean, it should all be free too, right? He already makes tons of money! Greedy blog owner, power to the people! Steal his intellectual property. Cross link to his articles and steal his postings. Right? I am, of course, kidding. But you get the point.
HipHopGamer is ABSOLUTELY correct. Though Torrence won’t admit this because he recently put together a killer rig for tons of money that he must now justify. So does it actually surprise anyone that he comes out vehemently attacking HHG’s comments. What did you think he was going to say?!?! It would be like someone defending the Dreamcast after that POS went belly up prematurely. It died for a reason. Sega saw the asteroid (Sony) coming and they got wise to the situation. It is tough to see the truth when you have blinders on.
HARDCORE PC Gaming is dying. Get over it. You pirates killed it with your own evil, greedy, selfish actions. And now pirates are whining about it like little babies. Oh, the sweet irony of it all….
Services like OnLive will fail due to lack of bandwidth issues and latency unless the infrastructure here in the US is upgraded to everyone. But their model is very agreeable to publishers/developers because there would be no piracy of games anymore. You would no longer buy games, but instead you would pay to play them in a subscription format similar to WoW. Do you not think that all publishers/developers are looking at that with keen interest for the future? Of course they are.
Your thoughts everyone?
Dude you should have warned any other reader or commenter before commenting by just labeling the following appropriately as nothing more than a rant…
Yeah pirating is killing PC gaming sales but how could you claim that PC gaming is no longer hardcore? If anything it's the contrary. Only the real hardcore PC gamers are out there supporting PC games. It doesn't exactly take a genius to download a video game and play it. There's practically instructions on how to do it. But that's beyond the point and there's no reason to comment towards your pirating rant. Yeah people pirate and for different reason none at the end of the day noble.
What is HipHopGamer correct on? Explain to me how he was "right" in any article he's written saying PC gaming is dead, going to die or a certain game is going to end PC gaming as a business. HipHopGamer writes one thing and in the debates on the warzone starts to defend something completely separate. If his claim was simply that PC gaming has declined and has taken a backseat to console gaming, I think everyone would agree. BUT that's NOT the claims he has put forth. DEAD = No longer functioning, living or active. If that's what DEAD is then how can it be used to describe PC gaming?
http://kotaku.com/5038833/pc-gaming-a-107-billion...
PC gaming saw profits of 10.7 Billion dollars…. I don't call that DEAD.
*hard sigh* Again i guess I have to state this you don't have to go balls out with a PC to enjoy the game. No one curses Sony and now Microsoft for not including component or HDMI cables. So their are those who play their games on SD TV or HD TVs ignoring the blatant differences from when played using the component or HDMI cable and a HD set. So do we really have to go down the road that enjoy playing any PC game you need a $2000+ rig? Again there are PC's out there that cost $600 and you can run Crysis on max. Again referring to a game that came out in 2007. 2 Years ago again denouncing the notion that you need to upgrade every year or two years or three years…
So again if 10 billion dollars supports the claim of an industry dying then this conversation is over… Also you used the word DEAD which if you meant something else you should have stated it. Respond i'll be waiting…
you got some 'splainin' to do!
P.S. Dreamcast a POS…. clearly your opinion one i disagree with.
