Magna Carta 2 in Screens, out in October Exclusivly on the 360

I got a chance to play the DEMO last week and to my amazement the game actually was quite different contrary to what other sites my say. The game does not have random battles in fact you actually see the enemies walking around (think FF XII) before you engage into a battle. Read the rest of this entry »
Star Wars: Old Republic BETA sign up
Looks like it’s that time again for some BETA testing goodness, but this time the game that needs a few good men (or women) is Star Wars: The Old Republic. It seems to me like a lifetime for me, waiting around for an online MMO within the Old Republic time line. This particular story line within the Star Wars world, for some reason captivated me more so than the newer stories of the franchise. Read the rest of this entry »

Review: Gran Turismo PSP

Gran Turismo has finally arrived on the PSP. I could swear this title was announced when the PSP was first shown at E3. In fact, they had a playable demo on display. It’s been such a long time and it’s great to finally see the fruits of PD’s labor. GT PSP is a shining example of what you can do with the proper time and dedication put into a game. Does it compare to the rest of the series? Read the rest of this entry »
UK PSN get free Dynamic Theme
As I did my rounds on the US, Japan and UK Playstation Stores today, I came across the “FREE†Wipeout HD Dynamic Theme. Can you believe that both the Japanese/UK PSN Stores offer their demographic a nice taste of what a dynamic theme looks like with out it’s PSN community needing to come out of pocket.
Borderlands Trailer
Gearbox Software’s Borderlands (PC, 360, PS3) drops October 20th (26th for PC) and offers FPS meets RPG gameplay (ala Fallout 3) as well as 4-player co-op. If you haven’t heard of this title by now then I urge you to check out the trailer above and familiarize yourself with what is only the first game in a planned franchise.
Altered Beast arrives to POWER UP you retro needs
One of my first “ever†16-Bit console titles I played was Altered Beast for the Sega Genesis. It was in 1989 when the Genesis launched with the bundled title and from the very beginning I was taken a back by the “shitty†but awesome voice audio in the game. From the beginning level your told to “Rise from your grave†to the “POWER UP†voice every time you picked up an energy orb for your transformation upgrades. Altered Beast will always hold a special place in my heart.
PSP gets Hero of Sparta on October 1st
I have been playing Hero of Sparta for some time now on my iPhone. The game IMO is one of the show pieces for the iPhone/iPod Touch platform. The game is truly ground breaking when you think of what mobile phone gaming was just a few years ago. Then comes Hero of Sparta for the iPhone/iPod Touch. From the look on my friends’ faces when ever I pull out my phone and ask them to try this game just to ask them what they thought of the game, “every time” I got an I can’t believe this is a game on a phone.
Wii HD Is Here Thanks To Sony PS3

Nintendo Wii has had incredible success with their motion controller gimmick but now new challenges are here and Nintendo is in for a fight. Microsofts Project Natal and Sonys Magic Wand are ready to expand the motion control market and also take some market share away from Nintendo but, Sony seems to be in the best position to do this and here’s why.
Sony has already showed that they can outsell even the Nintendo Wii being $100 dollars higher in price and next year with the addition of the Magic Wand Sony has now become more than just mere competition but a threat to Nintendo Dominance.
Sonys Magic Wand has better precision than the wiimote, the combination of the PSEYE cam which will open up new motion gameplay opportunities, but most of all It’s all in HD.

Infamous GT5 Neogaf Microsoft Fanboy Poster Actually Works For Turn 10
I got this tip from Bitbag fan Pixelsword. If you haven’t heard, someone from Microsoft was posting on Neogaf about Forza 3. A Neogaf admin pointed out that the poster had a Microsoft email address(I didn’t agree with this tactic as information on users is supposed to remain private). Pixelsword posted in his N4G blog some info that leads back to this poster actually being a Turn 10 employee. You can follow the email after the jump. I find it funny that devs are using shills in forums. Nothing wrong with that. Pixelsword the internet detective? I think so! Thanks for the tip bro! Read the rest of this entry »
