The Playstation Blog today released the Press Release of the now confirmed God of War Collection for Playstation 3. The games will be on a BluRay disk and will be remastered and feature anti-aliased, 720p HD graphics, running at 60 frames per second.
Not much more for me to say. I never liked the series and I know I will get hated for my opinion, but I have to be real…I hated the timed button sequences and tons of button mashing.
Lately I’ve been picking up a lot of classic Triple AAA classics from the PS2 era, since of course I own the best PS3 on the planet (60GB model) 100% backwards compat.
So in my honest opinion, I must pick this up to enjoy the games in HD, remastered and on one disk.

Day 1 bought. I was hoping somthing like this would happen. GOW1 was my favorite PS2 game and by the time 2 came out I was playing the 360 and no interested playing GOW2 and now that it is in 720p……GOLD.

Yes trophies is what won me over… I love God of War 1/2 but 720 and trophies were my calling cards.
Man I flipped the hell out when I saw this. And for $40. There is no question about it day 1.
i think if i already didnt have the GoW’s i would buy it. since i got a 60gb i can play them.
trophies arent a big deal to me, i never hunt trophies, and the upgrade to bluray wont be enough for me to buy it.

Yes now I can buy this instead of the PS2 version. This is a good deal but could of been bigger if Chains of Olympus was included. Anyway Day 1 for me.
damn this is serious…..seems like sony are finally stepping up and answering the gamers needs even the trophies are a nice touch exclusive after exclusive after exclusive…its getting expensive DAY MUTHER FUCKING ONE!!!!!!.
whats keeping them from porting other PS2 classics to Bluray? npthing , so they better do more.
probably the fact that people want PS3 games now,the only reason god of war collection is feasable is because alot of ps3 owners probably havent finished or even play the previous god of war titles(i myself am one so are a couple people who left comments) the reason they do dont more ps2 updates is the same as they wont add backwards compatability yet they still want to sell us ps2s and games why buy a ps2 when you can buy a ps3 which plays both types of game….simple
