The play stopped right as I was about to cross the goal line. Two referees appear on the screen discussing whether I get the touchdown or not. I never got to finish the play to a tackle or a touchdown.

Granted I know it was upsetting to you, but your reaction was funny. I’m glad you posted this.
A. Thats what you get for using New England.
B. This is a glitch man no big deal I got this game day one and I’ve ran over 15 HB gut plays within the goal line area and not once has this happened.
C. It might be a very rare glitch, I found a rare one in GTA 4 where I went under the city and could see people walking above me and shit, not once since that day has it happened again.
D. If this happens again film it then we can take out the bullshit gun and fire it like crazy.
Spenny quite a few sites have reported this issue. That play stops before the ball touches the ground.

I think the only thing that has pissed me off so far playing Madden 2010 is there is no Bill Belichick(New England Patriots Coach) instead we get a default coach,I understand why he’s not there its just that it doesn’t feel right not seeing him there on the sidelines.

if you watch as many games as you can like i do (no NFL Sunday Ticket) then you WILL see this happen every once in a while if players are struggling to get the tackle, or the offensive player is struggling to keep moving, the refs will blow the wistle and stop the play after a few seconds.
but i do know that in Madden 10 they will nlow the wistle right away which is bullshit.
im just saying, no need to get mad at a game when its probably a glitch. it only seems like the 2K5 fanboys are the one’s complaining about every little glitch they see.
I can’t ever remember i Ref stopping a play while the ball carrier has both feet down and the ball secured… Ever. Plays don’t stop even when the pile is being pushed one way or the other until the player is downed. Even if there is an infraction a flag is thrown until the play is over. What happened in the game with Tor can not be explained as it is most likely just a glitch that may or may not even happen again for him…
I might pick up madden 10 this year…. might. I’ll just have to wait and see how it feels in person at a friends house to secure the though either way.
Madden along with every EA sport game is filled with bugs. For those of you who have played live im sure you know about the player inbounding glitch.

it’s glitches like this that can ruin a sports game….one of the big reasons why I havn’t gotton into too many lately. With football games its things like this, with baseball games its balls through the legs. Each new addition of sports games comes with new features and a better look, but with the same old game breaking glitches. How can two people seriously compete with one another when things like this are happening? I thought I found my sports game savior with MLB the show 09, but it sure still had its fielding glitches and got sent right back to gamefly…..if they only would hurry up and send me The bigs 2 to test that out. and you’re right torrence ITS FUCKING BULLSHIT
