Torrence, I tried to get you to let me in to ask HipHop about the GI Joe statements he made, but at the end it just seemed like you was ready to go.
HipHop, if you really believe that GI Joe is a good game, then you clearly do not know what a good game is. Now I understand why every game you play is a good game to you. Clearly you can’t tell the difference between a shitty game and a good game.
I hate to say this but GI Joe is almost as bad as Vampire Rain. Nothing you mention about that game is as you made it out to be. You were right about the graphics, they suck but everything else, you were way off. The dialogue was horrible, the gameplay was like trying to play ET,(yea I said it, it’s that bad.)
You tried to make the Super Joe mode sound like it was great(I can’t remember the exact name at the moment) but it was another piece of shit the game offered. The only thing it offered was for your character was to speed up a little, be invulnerable for a bit, and they play the theme song and do the classic Yo Joe battle cry, that’s it. It doesn’t add or have any redeeming qualities.
I don’t know what game you played or if you even played but it clearly wasn’t GI Joe, because that game was a complete piece shit. You can get at me about this, because I really don’t think you were serious about it.
In my opinion, every movie game now has to be compared to X-Men Wolverine. Especially when Raven developers said that no movie game would be as good as X-Men. They pretty much threw down the gauntlet. It’s clearly evident that EA didn’t put work into GI Joe like Raven did with X-Men. I’m saying Wolverine was a classic but its one of the best movie games I’ve played.
To everyone out there that has tried GI Joe, give your feedback and let me know if I’m wrong.

*What’s important for THIS Gen?
1. The same thing as last gen: using the console’s strengths to make the best game that can be made, not to make a “samey” game on both consoles. I still remember how Mortal Kombat looked much better on the Super Nintendo versus the Sega Genesis; imagine if the developers made the Super Nintendo version the same as the Genesis version. “Good enough” is not enough. If the PS3 can have more in the game and more particle effects then, make it so; if the 360 can have better graphics/framerate per disc then make it so.
2. FILL THE DISCS I shouldn’t be getting DLC if I feel like the game didn’t fill the discs. I shouldn’t. Sorry. That’s just the way I feel. Give me a meaty game with oodles of online and I’ll feel like it’s worth it. MGS4 deserves DLC love because that game feels full. HAZE having DLC is like a demo having DLC: you’re just sitting there dumbfounded as to why your putting money on a scrap of a game.
3. Have this gen last 10 years: I’m not sure about the 360’s CPU, (everyone thinks it’s the same), but if that is the case, then I want to see both consoles to last 10 years. As of now, and from what I know, The Cell B.E. is all around better than the GPU and FPGA chipsets in terms of performance and development.

There will never be cross gaming between PS3 and 360. Otherzinc is correct. Why would they want to do thisMS & Sony have nothing to gain by doing this and I dont see what they can do about it anyway since its not up to them. The only way it would happen is if a developer did it on their own with their own servers and right now ANY dev can use Dedicated servers on the 360 .It has been done before Section 8,UT3,Frontlines:Fuel of War had dedicated servers.

Why spend millions of dollars to possibly break even on the investment or possibly make a few extra dollars….when you risk the chance of losing those millions because it might be a smart move……and as of right now seems like valve doesnt think the rewards are not worth the hassle that would be involved in order to make the ps3 games…………………….
And I also agree about the cross gaming… it wouldnt be smart on MS part to allow a different network of gamers from their competition the ability to play with a network of gamers they have built over the past 7 years…..That MS bread and butter and I understand it would only be their for them to game against each other… but the population of live etc is some of the main draws for the game in the first place………………
i was thinking about the Torrence-HHG Olympics, and i think you should get the fans involved in choosing one of the activities. for example, you guys could settle on an odd number (so there won’t be a tie) of activities, like 7, 9, or 11, and then choose all but one of the activities you’ll be competing in. like basketball, arm wrestling, wrestling, pushups, a few head to heads in gaming, etc. then let the fans decide what the last activity will be. you could have them do nominations and then put a poll up (both in the forums and on the front page) and the fans could decide what the final activity would be.
i think that would be a cool idea.
